A further question on grading NRL cards

Just looking to canvas some opinions, I am preparing another lot of cards to send off to Craig at CGA and I was questioning whether to grade the redemption card or to just have it encapsulated using the RAW service.

The hole punched in the card may affect the grading value of the redemption (thinking off the 2000 and 2001 signatures).

I will email Craig to ask the question but what are your thoughts?

Good idea Dave. As we discussed a few weeks back can you canvas the idea with Craig of a double slab so the redemption & sig card can be displayed together?

I got an email back from Craig at CGA, redemption cards are graded as a set with the signature cards and are reported at such. As far as the hole punch goes, Craig's response is they are meant to be punched and if its a clean hole (in the card that is) then it won't affect the grading. I got the LLG and LLB back this morning and have another 11 cards turning up in the next 7 or so days. Will then send my Ben Ikin Broncos signature & redemption card away for grading to see the results.

So does this mean you get two scores for each card or one average score for the two?

I think that they are treated as a set and graded individually. Serial numbers for the grading makes them a set 1 of 2 & 2 of 2 or something like that. Will know more when I send a sig down which I just might do this week.
