NRL Rumour Mill Thread (Spoilers)

For the last 5 seasons or so there has been a 'Cooling Off' Period for players when they have signed a contract but they must exercise it by Round 13?, there has been numerous examples of it over the last couple of seasons, Luke Lewis from Panthers to lol@$ouffs and Nathan Smith from Panthers to Raiders plus Moltzen from Wests Tigers to the Stains come to mind, so there have been precedents!.

Another correction;

Moltzen's deal was not ended before the Rnd 13 "cooling off" he dogged it in November, just weeks before pre season training started, after Robert Lui was sacked by the Tigers for assaulting his girlfriend and then the dysfunctional board that represents the West Tigers club decided they wanted him to stay.

Sorry your pushing your luck now there's no name calling there, it is a given fact and widely quoted that the West Tigers board is totally dysfunctional and that is probably being too kind.

The Dragons board isn't dysfunctional, useless perhaps but not dysfunctional. :thumbsup:

Amazing, you claim the Tigers board is dysfunctional yet how many times have I read 'Oust Doust' and 'Slice Price' etc etc from your pathetic rabble, well one one hand you got rid of Price but Doust signed Marshall, the root of all the Tigers woes, he was the one that convinced Molzten to renege on the Stains deal and no doubt he'll try and convince him to try and have another crack at the Stains.

Seriously your constant vitriol against every member here and every club hardly warrants a response but 8 Bourbons into Wild Turkey Super Saturday I can't stop myself.

It is becoming apparent with your ignorance that don't you even follow what is going on at the club you supposedly support? You have a board that always vote along club ties regardless of what is in the best interest for the club, Balmain are desperately broke and just last year couldn't even raise $160k to cover operational costs, they sack Sheens then pay him 200k+ a year to not coach for two years. Go crawling to the NRL for a $4 million loan which basically hands control away from the club and its members and gives it to the NRL as they muscle in on the rabble and appoint 3 directors to the club who will ultimately control the balance of power.

Yes the ST George members make a lot of noise about 'Oust Doust' and 'Slice Price however the board continues to function as a single unit.

Time to go back and watch the footy.

Apart from the occaisional pisstake I was unaware that I was in a vitriolalic attack against any OCT forumer apart from one member, I'm aware of the problems at Balmain but the problems there don't impact on the Joint venture of Wests Tigers, then again how many $$$ do the Illawarra Steelers pump into your club, it's a 2 way arguement.
No I'm not fully aware of the situation with your club but I'm of the understanding that they went to to the NRL for a little bit of assistance and then went ahead and signed Marshall, so the Tigers got rid of a coach under contract but then again what have your club just done.
