Mortimer and lamb card anyone know what year these are from

I have these both but i have no idea what year or who they were issued by. Any info would be appreciated

I'll take a punt without knowing but applying some logic .They are images from 1985 so released 1986.

Mortimer and Lamb played together between 84-88.

On the back of Mortimer you can see the letter C, Sponsor HFC and the Umbro stripped shorts. 1986 on the went to a solid double stripe.

Finally the give away.

This is the 1986 Lamb card EXACT same image.

Behind Mortimer is the State Bank. I thought they sponsored the Big Game in 1988.

Anything on the back of them? What size are they?

Nah both blank on the back. Both roughly postcard size but the mortimer is a bit taller and skinner then the lamb one.

i think the daily mirror in about 1985 let u join your favourite team fan club. U got sent stickers, a ruler, posters etc. As well as a facsimile signed postcard. Mine was from Bruce Clark from wests. Your Mortimer was probably if u ticked Canterbury as your team

Too much time on my hands and I just have that kind of mind that likes trying to solve a puzzle.

The advertised sponsor on the outer ground is fosters you can see the ster to his left I think you may have mentioned state bank.
It could be a 1985 photo that was to be used in 86 released cards

Yep I agree, like our footy cards the images are generally the year before, images from 85 with an 86 release is my guess
