Maybe the person who recorded these tapes got sick of his attitude and thought this was the appropriate "punishment"? Private or not, I've been on the receiving end of racial vilification, and its very hurtful. As far as I care, he deserves every bit of criticism. Just because it's said in private, doesn't make it right.
 
Apparently, he used to tell staff openly his dream for the clippers was to "have a white southern coach the team while poor black players take the court". Disgraceful.

I don't see any way Sterling is going to be forced to sell the team. No way, no how. At best, he may be fined but even then, I'm going to guess it won't hurt his billion dollar bank account and he would contest it anyway. If he actually cared about the situation, he would appoint a figure head to take his position in the organization because no one is going to be a Clipper from now on.

Can't see how they can force him to sell, what if he agrees to sell but be's an arse about it and says he wants 20 billion for the clippers, not sure what nba could do because in a way having the team for sale even at that price is still keeping with what they want, think the lifetime ban is abit harsh tho, I mean if it was not for the gold digging mistress none of thins would have even been released, don't get me wrong he can't be %100 racist because the bird he was tapping was not white, hard to tell what she is with all that surgery lol, mind you nothing is being said that the mans married and yet he has a mistress in plan view and everyone know yet that's ok for the nba. It must be nice to be rich because if I told my missus that i was staying with her but shagging this little hot Asian and taking her out to game and that I'd be out the door and half an nba team down in a divorce lol
