I heard a rumour that Canberra are on FTA TV Sunday afternoon?

Can anyone confirm?

Think I heard something on Channel 9 last night but I think I fell in to shock that Channel 9 would deem the Raiders suitable for a television slot.

I heard he's returning home too.

To the Dragons :p , he actually grew up in Arncliffe from memory and played for Arncliffe Scots? before going over to Souths, pretty sure that is correct..
Anywai I know you mean Souths (Home), has been playing outstanding this year, if offers are pretty much the same he should stay at Penrith..

I'd love to have him, but I'm also at a time and place where I don't like seeing players shifting from club to club. Sure, it's a commercial reality, but Panthers gave him a shot and he's in SoO contention now…should at least show his current employers some loyalty. But...

Agreed, loyalty is almost non existent these days. Unfortunately the NRL is a business as are the clubs and no one club cares about who they poach as long as they think it will bring them success.

It's a two way street though.

When players become surplus to requirement they shift / shaft players.

Players do the same.

I have a sentimentality for one club players but you're right, it's a business.

NRL should make it fun and get players to sign only one year or two year deals max. Then each year, they have the NRL Feeding Frenzy for six weeks during Oct/Nov where clubs and players all come together and it's a mad rush to fill out squads, trade, swap, blah blah blah.

It's a bit Roy & HG but it could work. ;-)

Nrl is quickly becoming a joke of a sport. how can they get it so wrong every week. there consistent at fucking it up.

We now have more refs, more technology and we go to the video ref more than ever before.... and they still cant get the calls right....

The obstruction calls are hopeless..... one yesterday didn't have a player within 3 metres and it was disallowed and then the next 2 were certain no tries and were given.

Either they are incompetent or someone is making money off their calls.

Have no idea how they got the decision wrong today.

Surely not that hard. Its like they try and talk themselves out of it.

I agree, I think that on field refs err on the side of caution too much. If that had been awarded on field then it would not have been overturned.

Interesting comment by Gus about the decision
