There is diffidently a need to have sellers otherwise many people wouldn't be able to collect their teams/idols cards signed but there has to be a happy medium with them. Like you said the odd one sold is good but have to get rid of these big sellers that just get 10 of the same card signed purely to sell. If they want to sell heaps then they should only do so through the clubs where they give the clubs/players some money for their time and say these are to be sold. Good in theory but tough to actually do
They just need to limit signing not stop altogether. And also when they notice these people they just need to flat out refuse to sign for them. Hard when they use kids to get sigs but if they keep coming up asking for more and more then they should refuse. If someone has 1 or 2 cards they want signed they shouldn't refuse that otherwise the NRL will lose fans

I only go to one game a year..... if the sig pig stuffs me up i,m going to take the link out of his bike chain.

That's what is tough for us collectors we can sometimes look like sig pigs or sellers to the players when we see a team or a player that we only see once a year or once every few years and there is 2,3 or 4 different series of cards an players have so many different cards each we can come off as sellers even though we hand them all different cards.
This happens to us up here in Townsville too. Some players just spray you saying your nothing but an eBay seller. Or they flat out deny you a signature. I will admit I do sell some cards on feebay, but I will only give a player five cards (every one of them different). Some cards do end up in my PC but some are sold to fund buying cards I cannot get for my PC. I have almost completed a fully signed 2008 Centenary set but have to use funds to buy some of the legend cards as they have never travelled up this far. This not signing act will definitely hurt all of us and possibly the trading card industry.just my opinion, keen to hear yours.

I can sought of help you out understanding with the wests incident, was at the airport when this happened. Swear these people (coastsports) had like 150-200 signed cards on the table. Did get a pic will try to upload at some stage. The players were over signing completely understandably when there was like multiples of the same card and when kids are getting them signed. These kids seemed to be going back to two female adults. Upon leaving we spoke to robbie (he was not a happy camper) he mentioned to the other players what was going on and was going to speak to them. (not sure if that eventuated) I really felt for them. Its interesting the club has take that stance. how do we stop coastsports?

It sounds like these eBay seller will go to extraordinary lengths to obtain Signatures using all types Of Deception.
But using kids to obtain mutable signatures Fair Dink om that takes the cake..... what player would refuse a little kid.
Almost child abuse.
