ESP NRL Traders 2014 Thread - Checklist Added (Pg 18)!!!

I've always liked the parallel sets as well, jersey cards, footy faces even the foiled cards but a parallel set that is maybe less than 1 per box making it impossible to complete the 176 card set well for me the jury is still out. At a guestimate of $20 a card for a 1 in 36 card that is a lot of coin $3520 to complete. As a team collector I'll still be looking at over $200 for a parallel set. =D>

And this is the Series 1 release.

The rare parallels are a pretty dumb and boring idea I gotta say. When did we reach this stage that each set has endless and progressively rarer versions of the same card? Apart from that it looks like a decent set, disappointed there's no Leilua for Newcastle, though.
I've never really cared for parallels but to make a parallel set with ratios of about 1 per box they would have to cut the set like they did for the 2006 Invincible parallel set (90 cards) or people are going to wind up seriously disappointed with incomplete sets or with empty pockets after spending a small fortune for the set. At the end of the day it is just a small black strip is it really worth the effort.

I might just take to my cards with a black vivid and make my own versions of them!

Multi-levels of parallel cards are all the go in some non-sport sets at the moment, Women of Marvel 2 has a standard sapphire parallel at 1 per pack. An Emerald parallel numbered to 100 at 1 per box and a diamond parallel numbered to 10 at 1 per case.

These black parallels are getting a lot of coverage, little mention of the auto cards (poor Sims boys) I'll only be chasing a team set but if they're $20+
may be hard work. I want foiled numbered cards for price. The market ie us will decide the price in the end.
But the old human trait will come through, if you have one I want one too. Will be keen to see some pictures over the next few days .

I put in an order for 6 boxes yesterday. Was going to buy a case, but without knowing odds, really can't be bothered. Might just save my dough for the more expensive release this year. Will see how we go with this one.

That's fine Standard 1 per pack, Emerald 100 at 1 per box and Diamond 10 at 1 per case.

This is standard 176 at 1 per pack and Black 176 at 1 per box.

That is a shit load of inserts !

Retirements i can live with and the Indigenous i don't understand as there is only 12 teams included.

Maybe they should have done a Indigenous superstar set or something like that.

Will also be interesting to see what the Magic Moments are for each team, especially since i don't think the Eels and Tigers had any last year !!!
