Hey guys - just after a bit of help on these..

I have seen a couple of supporters choice sig cards recently and am trying to gather a bit more info so when I go to buy one I won't be ripped off...

The 2 I have looked at recently are:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1994-Supporters-Choice-3-Mal-Meninga-1145-Of-1500-/400661334939?_uhb=1&pt=AU_NRL_Rugby_League_Merchandise&hash=item5d4946cb9b&nma=true&si=dWrBSvwag62yahQ7FTaDt1fJbrw%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

and the current one on ebay:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1994-Mal...League_Merchandise&hash=item2336e95d46&_uhb=1

Can anyone who was collecting when these came out & redeemed some themselves confirm:

Did Dynamic always hole punch the redemption card or only on some occasions?

Also, from as far as I know there is only Meninga & Lamb signature supporters choice cards...
Are they numbers 3 & 6 like these listings or did the signatures have their own number 1 & 2 for the signature cards??? Seems like it would be easy for someone to fake them if they pulled a redemption which can't be redeemed and forged on a standard supporters choice card?

Also the meninga has signed and numbered on the left hand side on one listing and on the other on the right hand side... Plus the ink is completely different on both cards...

Any info on these would help alot. Thanks

Hey Ben

The top card looks like it's been signed by Maninga but it's not a legit Dynamic card as the redemption card is not hole punched or it doesn't have void written on the back which they wrote in with black texta for some of the early redemptions.

The second one is a legit Dynamic card set but it doesn't seem to have a letter of authenticity which was on a A4 size piece of paper with the Dynamic Marketing letter head saying something along the lines (Certificate of authenticity) this is to certify that the trading card No 1145 is a series of 1500 from the Dynamic 1994 series 2 rugby league and the autograph of Mal Maninga that this trading card bears the genuine signature of the player depicted something like that, so if neither of these cards don't have the certificate with them I wouldn't take the chance of buying them (just my opinion).

Yes there were 2 different supporters choice cards signed Mal Maninga and Terry Lamb 1500 of each and yes they were numbered 3 and 6 just like the unsigned ones as long as the cards have the certificate of authenticity you should be fine.

hope this helps cheers Phil

Awesome. Thanks for that Phil.

I asked pn8-3001 about the first one - seems like a dealer as seems to sell huge bulk lots of numerous times during the year...

He said he has had that card like that for years and got it with no hole punched and no coa..

Appreciate your help

I agree the first one looks very suspect, redemption not voided and the stuttering handwriting of the number 1500 on the card.

I would also question what's doing? with the second auction as well. When I look at the two pictures (front and back) of the redemption card, to me the hole punch appears to be in a different spot, bottom and then top.

Dynamic = fraud in my opinion so buyer beware.
