A big bet!

While many of you may feel this belongs in the newish gambling thread this is for far more than money... its for state pride!

After watching the NRL grand final last year, Brisbane vs Melbourne, and seeing my Storm lose and the crap i got of my girlfriends old man, John and her older brother, Michael, whom are both proud Queenslanders and Bronco's supporters, all three of us made a deal the next time a major sporting game or series, such as a grand final, was played we would have a bet.

Today Victoria and Queensland are battling on the MCG for the Ford Ranger Cup, and soon the NBL Finals start, with Queensland's Finest, the Brisbane Bullets versus the defending champions and Victoria's Own, the Melbourne Tigers.

So last night, John and Michael bet me that QLD will beat VIC in the cricket, and if they do I have to drink XXXX for a year, and if VIC beats QLD, they have to drink VB for a year, while in the Basketball, if Melbourne loses, im buying the beer, either XXXX or VB, for a year for the both of them, and if Brisbane loses, I get free beer, XXXX or VB for the next 2 years.

Im hoping for a Whitewash in the bets, cos im not going to be drinking XXXX

I Rekon QLD and VIC will go 1-1 in the upcoming two big sporting events. Vics will win the cricket whilst the Bullets should prevail against the Tigers. (<<hoping not)

I'm hoping both VIC teams can pull through for you as well. Tigers should do it, they are all class and if they shut down McKinnon (with defensive experts like D-Mac and Thomas) then they should prevail in a canter.

Personally I think you are tring to get into the "Will money" because making them drink XXXX for a year will kill them

Going to footy with them this friday, they dont have XXXX at the Dome, so I'll on whatever beer they sell there, got out of that pretty quick

Im hoping the Tigers can win, but im getting ready to start shelling out for XXXX, the local bottle shop is not going to know what hit it!!

As a person who lives in Brisbane who is a proud card carrying member of the Melbourne Storm take them to be higher on the ladder at the end of the season then the Broncos I still wish the ref got ran over by a truck did we get screwed or what Go the Storm!!!!!!!!
