I always wondering if he resigned with the Bulls how he would of gone.

It seems players take the big $$$$ to sign with the pistons and there careers go down hill.

Seems like as soon as he got that big contract he quit. 2007 was earning average money, he had the 48 point game, signed a good deal for $6m+ a year with Bulls in 2008 but then went to Pistons in 09-10 for that 5 yr $55mil deal and disappeared. Am I wrong? I mean he dropped off so much the trade deal to Bobcats involved Maggette...... Was expecting big things from him when he was playing well with the Bulls.

I really liked BG also, the problem was, at the Pistons there was a logjam of undersized guards and they all got time, it was baffling, once they realised BG wasn't going to win them too many games, he moved to a reserve role.

I still think he was one of the best 3 point and jumpshots in the game. I think he can really help somebody next year, I'm sure he could get 2-3 mill per season. He's done very well moneywise.

Another mistake by the Pistons was Villanueva, I can't believe he still plays for them, what a waste of money.

Not exactly, if Charlie Villanueva gets a buyout of the remaining amount of his contract, enabling him to latch onto another team where he might get more minutes. His expiring contract didn't fetch the suitors the Pistons believed it would — a league-wide trend, actually — but a buyout is another option. “Anything’s possible. Right now, it is what it is,” Villanueva said. “I wish I could help this team in any way possible, but they’re going in a different direction. It’s part of the business, but if it presented itself, that’s something we’d look at, for sure.” Detroit News

Villanueva has been around for plenty of foolishness since his arrival. He was one of the few players who didn’t participate in a team boycott of a 2011 shoot-around in Philadelphia a day after the trade deadline. “I’ve thought about that (stuff). But there’s always a right and wrong way to do things, and I’ll always do the right thing,” Villanueva said. “I’m a professional. It’s a privilege to play in this league.
