UFC MMA Discussion (spoilers)

I despise the regular mat relics too. But I suppose they have to have some sort of filler cards in there???
You'll probably have a hard time organising a case share breaks on here. Only select members are allowed to do them on this site.

Saying that @cherrycollectables sells some UFC boxes and is authorised to do group breaks. If he had enough interest he would probably do it.

@devo Thanks for the plug ;)

We would LOVE to do a UFC Case Share! If you see a product you think would garner enough interest just PM me!

It needs to be unreleased.

If anyone wants any UFC wax let us know, always happy to get specific products in!

:D :D :D

Would've preferred a finish, but I'll take Eco Reem over KO'd Reem

He looked good. Hardest I have seen him come in since he fought Lesnar. Clearly worried about Mir trapping him with a sub if he went in for the finish but by god he hits hard. Hope he can keep it up because I would love to see him fight Velasquez.

Varner's fight was an absolute barnburner!

And Barao looked amazing as per usual. Stoppage may have been a bit early but the result was never gonna change! Pretty good card really

Was it just me or was the whole card a but of a let down with the fighters that were fighting?

Aldo used to be one of my faves to watch but now hes becoming boring and has nothibg left to prove, hopefully we see this pettis aldo fight in june that they kind of teed up in the press conference

The only fight I thought was a bit of a letdown was Lineker and Bagautinov. Was expecting a stand-up war and got anything but. Other than that, I didn't find Aldo's fight boring at all. As a martial artist I really appreciate his technical brilliance. It may not have been a spectacular slugfest but it was a total domination through the first four rounds and his ability to anticipate his opponents' next moves always amazes me.

Pat Barry is taking an indefinite leave of absence from MMA and has been granted a release from the UFC.

Sounds like with the growth of GLORY he's heading back to kickboxing.

So it was confirmed this week that Barry has signed with Glory. Has a tune up fight at a WKA event in late March before featuring on a Glory card in May.

Gees this upcoming card is a big one the 2 people who win the co and main could be up for a title shot unless the 2 winners face each other my prediction machida vs Souza but i want Machida to lose (not a fan of him in other words cant stand him)

The UFC has done away with the KO and Sub of the Night bonuses and will now have 2 individual performance bonuses, along with the Fight of the Night bonus.

As I saw someone else speculate, they might be trying to distance themselves from actively encouraging head trauma with a lot of concussion studies gaining traction.

Haven't seen the fight yet, but I've read it was a great technical scrap.

Rest of the card sounded pretty forgettable.

Apparently, with nearly all the fights going the distance, its claimed the record for the longest running time for a UFC event.

Im not even bothering looking at the replays just sounded like a boring card with most fights going the distance

Going the distance isn't always a bad thing ... look at the recent Bigfoot and Mark Hunt fight...definitely one of the best in history IMO :kick:

Yea that is true one of my fav fights ever was Hendo vs Shogun which was sick in fact most of the greatest fights ever have gone the distance

Yeah, except Bigfoot tested positive to drugs.
That doesn't mean the fight wasn't good but it leaves a bitter taste.

Bigfoot's condition and the inaccurate decision of the UFC medical adviser to advise him to "up" his levels of testosterone leading up to this fight was terrible... great fight none the less . But i do have to agree with you that some people would just see Bigfoot as a drug "Cheat or abuser" . so far from the truth....
It left a bad taste in my mouth....because i didnt fly to Brisi and see this fight and a mate is always keen to remind me that he was there..:(
Apart from that......Great Knuckle=D>
