I thought I'd start a thread for any rumours that are getting thrown around.

Last year there was A LOT of talk and little action.

Minnesota would have to add a very good player to go with love and Rubio for him to stay. If rondo gets healthy and they add love, the C's are at worst a playoff team in the east, something that could interest love surely?

I'm pretty sceptical on all rumors after last year's no show, but this is a good one.

I agree hes not going to stay with the wolves they have made so many bad moves. Have a look at the wolves last 7 years of draft picks and who they could of had hes had enough and only way he will go to the celtics is via a trade so they will be renting him for a year until he leaves

You missed some bigger names for 2011, kawhi, klay and faried

But yeah, wow, they have fudged up.

I like the wolves but they can get something good for Love now. Next year, not so much.

Some people may probably hate me for saying this.
But maybe Love isnt as good as his numbers suggest, none of his teammates are getting better when playing with him. He's way to injury prone for a franchise player (you can hardly count on him for a full 82 game season).
A starting five with Pekovic, Rubio, Brewer, Love and Kevin Martin you can hardly call bad, to me they have a way better team than Phoenix but there still in the playoff mix.
Love is one the best offensive and rebounding players in the game, but its defense that wins games, playoff rounds and championships, and he is just not leading by example on the defensive end.

I feel its kind of the same with Carmelo who is one of the best scorers to ever play the game, but his defense is nowhere near the level of his offense.

if rubio could shoot 15 to 17 points per game the twolves would be a better team, i get tired of people giving the k love man a bad wrap, this guy get banged around nite in nite out and has great placement skills, so what if his not the best in defense, if any one in the nba can bring home 25 pnts, 13.5 rbds and over 4 asts a nite in any team i say good on him. he plays to win and its funny how fans talk about the shoots his missed or games his lost but rarely point out how many game winners he has hit, if he does get traded good luck to him, and i hope he finds a team that can bring home a ring in the near future.

Then again what makes sense picking two point guards with back to back picks in 2009?

they picked three, and traded Ty Lawson, the best of the three to the nuggets, because apparently, they put photos of the draftees on the ground and get a baby to crawl over and choose which one they like the best

not to mention they traded Lawson to Denver for a pick which later became Luke Babbitt, who they traded to Portland for Martell Webster, who if I remember correctly spent a season mostly injured and was then released by the team! So they traded Ty Lawson for nothing at all, almost as if they are consciously making trades that make them progressively worse

The NBA trade deadline is just two days away and once again, Kevin Love has been the focal point of trade talks. It was reported today that the Lakers and Mavericks are in the mix for Love as they both are trying to put together a package for the power forward that would tempt Minnesota to ship the All-Star west.

Love has two more years left with the Timberwolves before he will hit free agency. While the better move for the Lakers would be to wait until Summer 2015 to go after the Southern California native, it appears as if they will make the necessary moves to acquire Love before Thursday’s trade deadline.

Any package that the Lakers put together would have to include forward Pau Gasol, whose contract will expire this summer. The Lakers might also have to offer their first round pick in the upcoming draft.

Despite all of the rumors that Love will be moved within the next two days, Timberwolves’ President Flip Saunders has indicated that the team has no plans to move the perennial All-Star.

I don't think the Lakers should do this if they give up their pick. It's looking like they'll get a top 5.

They should wait it out.

Trade pau for anything they can get.
