ESP NRL Traders 2014 Thread - Checklist Added (Pg 18)!!!

This series looks promising, I'll prob go a box and them loose packs assuming they come to NZ like last year.
Some of the insert set ideas are great (heritage, kick returners, magic moments) and the commons are simple, but a fast improvement on last year's Traders design, where the players often blended into the background.
Bit of a shame to see the Young Guns go, but no doubt there'll be a prospects sig set in premium series.
And when there's 5-6 different insert sets, it doesn't really matter if one is geared towards kids.
I'll wait for the ratios before applauding, but looks like a nice improvement ESP.

It is great to see they are releasing different type of inserts mixing them up a bit. Dont give up on the sig cards though. I am sure there will be a few in the coming series, that will excite us collectors. The young guns from the last series could become very popular and harder to get seeing they are not going to be in this set.

Please see attached a copy of the 2014 NRL Traders Flyer.

The product will launch to market on the 6th of March.

All number 1 cards are included into this release.

Also included in the release are 6 redemption cards each for 2 double passes to the NRL Grand final* terms and conditions apply.

I heard a story that some bloke from the gold coast ended up with one of the footballs. Dont know how true that is though

Terry mentioned some time ago that 3 or 4 footballs had been redeemed from limited 2012

What would you guys do if you busted one, keep it unredeemed or redeem it? Would being unredeemed make it any more valuable?

Has there been any word on what the base set size is? Was hoping we'd get more than just 9 cards per team, and hard to tell until we know the size of the insert sets, and a couple of them could b quiet large.

I'd be returning David Williams to sender after his grand final performance if I was a Manly fan, too.

He should have won the clive Churchill medal, was the most instrumental in deciding the game...

Canberra didn't wear one - unless they are counting our Centenary of ACT jersey as a heritage jersey.

From what I've seen over the weekend, nrl did pretty well with their future star selections last year

That heritage jersey set was meant to be in the 2013 Traders so if there are teams (eg: Canberra) who didn't wear a heritage jersey in 2013 the card might depict a 2012 jersey

I don't think the Raiders had one in 2012 either. I think we only had one special jersey that year and that was the ANZAC jersey.
