I did come across a story a while back, where a card company gave a professional wrestler x amount of cards/ stickers to sign. When these cards/stickers were returned to the company,the company asked the wrestler why there was such a variance in all the signatures, only for the wrestler to turn around and say 'friends and family helped me sign them'. So no one is immune to such type of errors but quality control (such as here) should pick up on it.

Night owl trawling and I'd thought I add to this, with a similar story.

Devonte Smith-Pelly, a winger for the Anaheim Ducks, used a stamp for his auto on 5 different products in the 11-12 season, two produced by Panini (Contenders and Prime) and three produced by Upper Deck (SP Authentic, Ultimate Collection and The Cup).

It was a real eye opener given both companies have authenticity disclaimers. Especially Upper Deck whose disclaimer specifically states their cards are signed in the presence of a company representative.

OK, if I may try to somewhat get this thread back on track - The seller has agreed to refund me and I will send the card back to him and he will send it back to Topps. So whilst a gigantic pain in my arse and a waste of time, no harm done. In other news , one of my Ashley Young /50 Gold autos arrived today at my PO Box and it is mint. These are nice cards in hand. Will post a pic once more arrive.
BTW - Gave you lot a yellow card the other day for effing about. I am making a new thread dedicated to you all. You'll find it if you look for it (And you will know it when you see it) please use that one to slam each other so this one stays as it was intended for.... discussions, pics of received/purchased cards for TOPPS PREMIER GOLD!!
Oh and FFS is anyone doing a case break?? I would scour back 14 screens but I CBF as it is all Futera waffle without Maple syrup. God dammit people

Update on Fellaini Gate - I have been refunded in full, I have sent the card back and he will return it to Topps (quoting damaged from pack). I really hate this Global Shipping crap that some US sellers use. He explained to me that they send the card to a 3rd party (Pitney Bowes) in the US and they send it to us here in Oz or anywhere outside of the US I spose.. basically they open the packet from the seller, re pack it in whatever manner they see fit (Normally crap) and off it goes. My Fellaini came in the most povo bubble mailer there is and the top loader had a small walmart bag lacky banded around it for "added protection" I reckon they stuffed it up! Anyhoo, I got my postage back from them too.
