COMC Mailbox Thread

Hi Moe, quick question, I'm looking to possibly get a Kobe auto sent to my mailbox, but the card in question is a Kobe Flawless encased auto, ie it's in a sealed one-touch from Panini.
Is there anyway to make sure it doesn't get removed from the factory holder on arrival to you???

Hi! If the card is in a factory-sealed case, we won't break it open. We'll process it like an over-sized card.

Thanks!

Hey Moe, I'm just about to do a shipment that has about $2k BV does customs become an issue?

Hi! We are required by United States federal law to declare the value of all international shipments we send out. We list the purchase price of the cards (rather than the book value) when the shipping label is printed, which is done automatically by computer.

I'm not sure what the limits are in terms of duties or taxes...but, we usually recommend people ship out in smaller packages - so, as to avoid any extra charges.

I had 53 cards sent to registered including 3x 1/1's (all others were auto's/jsy's/sp's).... COMC put $5 declared value on 53 cards.... made me a little annoyed that I paid a bit extra to be covered for $5 if something had happened... Packaged great, received fine, but that is a bit of a joke when Im paying $30-40 for shipping to be covered

Mailbox SubmissionsStarting January 20th, we will process all Mailbox submissions through our Premium service. We appreciate all of the new users who have tried this service during its testing phase. Now that we have data about how the service is used, we have discovered that it is extremely time consuming to open all of the packages, so we can only afford to offer this service at the price point of our Premium service.

You may continue to have items sent to “COMC Mailbox C/O [your account name]” and we will process them in 1-3 days and add them into your account for $1/card with no minimum. Items will frequently be scanned in toploaders, and these items will be subject to an extra $0.20 shipping charge.

When the remaining legacy mailboxes are opened, we will process the items at $0.50/item, and we will waive the $5 minimum.

what exactly is the Premium service?

I've only been getting a few recently.... Sick of the rising costs of the hobby.... Not suprised with this.... COMC Never seemed too concerned with catering to overseas collectors concerns after the initial launch.... Who's in for group breaks now at $1 a card????? Will only use for mid-high end pc personally and back to borderlinx for everything else.... I see you still get slugged on a new toploader even if your card still arrives in one... Lol!

Premium: Fast Processing for Any Item
We purchased some new equipment, wrote a bunch of software, and adapted our systems to allow us to cost-effectively process small packages quickly.

For only $1 per card, your cards will be added to the site within 1 to 3 business days. Although 3 days is the guaranteed maximum lead time, we will strive to get the items added to your account as quickly as we can. You can use this service for cards of any size, including graded and encased cards, and there is no minimum charge. For example, you can send us one graded card and receive it in your account very quickly for only $1.

Serious? I found Boderlinx cost an arm and a leg to send over stuff.

Yeah still no reason to go back to Borderlinx imo, its more expensive and you cards are more likely to be damaged as they don't know how to handle the cards properly.
The only benefit is that the shipping is much quicker.

I'm pretty happy with the change, $1 a card sounds great for me since they can be added to my account and listed/shipped off asap

So once they get a card, its automatically processed to be added to your account with 1-3 days??? Sounds pretty good to me if that's the case :D:D:D:D
