90s Insert set help

I've recently got back into collecting and this time around I want to focus more on putting some sets together.. I'm currently working on putting a patch set and an auto set together but have been thinking about trying to put together a nice insert set.

Here is where I need your help.. I didn't collect much in the 90s and haven't really bothered with any cards from around then so I'm unsure of what insert sets are out there.

Here are a few requirements I'm looking for if possible for a 90s insert set.

Must have all these players

Jordan
Kobe
Shaq
Iverson
Garnett

Obviously this is going to have to be a late 90s set but hopefully there is something out there.

Also I don't want a numbered set or a set that's going to have a Jordan insert that's going to cost me $500+.

Is this possible?

If you know of any sets could you please post a scan of what the set looks like.

Hopefully you guys on here can help me find a set that I'll be able to try put together if possible.

This is one I put together relatively cheap and has all 5 players above in it

Skybox Competitive Advantage all nice diecut cards and the Jordan floats around $100ish

Couple of good suggestions.. I would prefer a set with all 5 of them in it but would consider some others.. I don't mind that Skybox set.. I think I might put that together even if I find another I like more

1997/98 is probably the best year where there are some nice inserts and all these guys were becoming more popular (so they featured in nicer sets)

The 1997/98 Skybox thunder and lightning has all of those guys and is mid-range (jordan 100-150 odd)

A bit higher the ultra stars set is quite nice (there is a gold print run which is a lot rarer than the silver ones)

I agree about the Noyz Boyz, but they'll cost.

97/98 Metal Titanium can be had for a good price too.

I have just started to do the same with 90's sets, I'm keeping the MJ's graded, but will pic up the rest of the inserts ungraded...

Doing Platinum Portraits, Noyz Boyz, BMOC and star power supreme to get started....

Might take a while...lol

Lucky, because I would have bought that card off you today and there is now way you could have said no...

These sets are hard to put together, it's the normal players (non stars) that are hard to find!!!

Absolutley, i think we discussed this aspect in another 90s thread before. I was lamenting not being able to get a damon stoudamire thrill seekers for such a long time. Managed to pick one up the other day!
It's funny that Jordan's are probbaly the most common although unless you have bottomless pockets you can't really get too many in a hurry. Jordans will cost you 50%+ of the set but there'll be some niggling player who takes you 50% of the time to even find to complete it!

This bewilders me! I've seen multiple Jordans from sets where Paytons have never shown up and it's not like the Paytons would be to cheap to bother selling either as other players from the sets sell in the $200+ range (Grand Finale I'm looking at you )
