With this latest set back, do you think it effect his card values and if so, time to sell up if they are going to drop?

Already noticed members on here starting to sell up their cards of his. I know I moved all my high ends of his after the first injury.

That being said depending on what happens to Rose in the next few years, if his career somehow ends like Brandon Roy you'll see me adding him to my PC. I didn't get the chance to fully appreciate players like Brandon Roy, TMAC, Penny Hardaway etc. but I would be very satisfied collecting Rose, knowing that he used to be one of the best and most clutch players in the league.

too late the boat has been missed i reckon. Unless you want to take huge loss. This is assuming you only collect to sell cards at a profit and not for the fun of it.

I totally agree with this.

In the last week (just a day or two before his injury) I watched 2 x 12/13 Prizm Gold MVP's /10 of his sell for around $200. Then yesterday his base version Prizm Gold /10 sold for just over $200.

Shocking prices for an MVP PG that plays for the Bulls. People are jumping off.

Sell now and lose money or sell later and lose the lot. I'd say there's enough people around that will still pay a decent price just in case he comes back strong.

I am sure Rose has quite a few fans still out there who wont be so quick to jump ship.

My guess is his cards will still be worth something decent, a bit like that guy known as Penny

Would like to see how the latest injury effects his career. Penny played on for years after, but if Rose has a career like Brandon Roy, highly doubt his value would be anywhere near where it is now. Roy has/had a huge supporter fan base, look at his prices now. Collectors seem to have the view (not everyone) that you are as good as your last game.

If you are only as good as your last game and having a look at Penny's career stats, it apparently has nothing to do with value of the cards because let's be honest, he didn't win any big awards and his stats after coming back from injury dropped off badly

Still managed to play 15 years, if Rose did the same surely his prices will be as good if not better, but assuming he makes 15 years.

I am not sure how his career of playing 15 years for 8.5 years worth of games has given his cards the value they have today. Supply and demand. Most people I speak to don't see why Jeremy Lin cards are worth so much because he is average at best. .... I tell them it is all about Supply and demand ;)
