Sorry couldn't resist the headline - 5-23 including 3 clean bowled and SERIOUSLY the best caught and bowled I've ever seen. He bowled a slower ball to White who smacked it straight and hard dead straight . Bond dives to his right and forward and catches it at ground level falling the opposite way - then fell on his face pretty much - hope u get to see it.

Bad news for kiwis thou - looks like Oram has broken a finger catching a dolly - looked bloody awful - goodbye world cup chances if he has....

It's a very slow pitch so 149 won't be as easy as it sounds....
 
good effort by Bond but we have a few players missing Ponting, Gilly, Clarke and Lee so dont expect much if your an aussie fan.

What a surprise you started this thread ! Where were you when we were thrashing NZ in the Tr-Series :lol:

On a serious note, NZ look the goods and although not at full strength, that was a pathetic game by Australia.......I don't think they will show to well in the World Cup :( March 24th will be their first of a few losses :(
 
^Ha! Australia will win the world cup and lose no more than 1 game in the West Indies. They always turn up for the big occasion and lets not forget they have been playing continuosly for the kast 5 months or so without a break, which is a f-load. They will gear up and be ready with Symo and Bing ready to fire.

word is he's not out yet - will be "managing his recovery" or something - it's only a fracture - not a break - and also ring finger - not bowling hand so he's still a chance - will just needed titanium reinforcement for when he's swinging the blade!

Richo - we couldn't by a trick in that series - punter killed us - and funnily enough i couldn't resist - first 10 wicket loss in Oz history...

WJWebber - you're an eternal optimist! Even if Symonds is back he won't have played for ages.....no doubt they could still win it.
Wouldn't be surprised if Lee is there though. It's Ponting they miss the most - poor Hussey didn't have a clue as captain - if there was a world cricket mvp award Ponting would have it named after him....
