My first Platinum Medallion - not quite what I was expecting... Not sure why big Alex Len isn't getting playing time instead, perhaps it's for the Wiggins sweepstakes...

Speaking of #1 picks, this guy was one last millennium! Elton Brand /50. Keep on keeping on big fella! First dibs to Elek if he wants / needs it...
6 Star Swatch /99 - Carter, Antawn, Bibby, Nowitzki, Pierce and Hughes - now that would be a 6 man crew capable of racking up some quick points in its prime!
Caron Butler GU auto /99 - Having a resurgence on the offensively challenged Bucks this year...
Chase Budinger /25 - Chase Buds will have to fight for his minutes when he gets back on that forward heavy Wolf pack...
The Precious Scribble (autos)
Aaron Brooks /299 - Tough gig behind Lin and Beverley but I'd have no hesitation giving him a place on my hypothetical expansion team....
Derek Fisher - one of the most over-rated guys imo. Yes, he can hit some clutch shots and make some 3s but when you break it down he's below average in every aspect of the game...
Wha! Wha! Wha! That's right, Big Baby is in the house! No telling what he could be capable of is he shed some poundage and got conditioned. Highly talented player.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip! No, that isn't another torn set of pants, it's Rip Hamilton letting rip on a big on card auto. Loved watching this guy play, always moving with or without the ball, always contributing - an efficient assassin from mid-range!
Paul Millsap - the season's biggest A grade free agent acquisition bargain. Should have a career season this year with the thin but agile and multi-faceted pairing with Horford. Funky sig too!
Lamar Odom & Eddie Griffin (RIP) on card auto /1149 - Couple of rangey and uniquely skilled forwards. Griffin could board, block and shoot 3s while Odom in his prime was a jack of all trades.
Wesley Matthews auto /49 - Nothing but respect but for this guy. Undrafted and hustled onto a roster, then hustled for minutes then hustled his way into the starting 5 before ending up as Lillard's backcourt running mate.
Ben Gordon on card auto - Not sure how you go from being a 20ppg scorer on a playoff team to riding the bench for one of the worst teams in the league in the space of 3 or 4 seasons... I do know that I love acetate though!
Rudy Gay on card auto /350 - Ultimate is always one of my favourite products, but the latest high flying Raptor looks like he signed this one with a lump of charcoal...
Carlos Booooooooooooozer on card auto /100 - Been a fair bit of hype about this series and they look alright to me. Rare sighting in his rookie year with the Cavs before he left them in the lurch!
Aldridge & Tucker /50 - My first Aldridge auto! ..and for some reason my second PJ Tucker auto?! Ah-hah - other auto is for the EX rookie auto chase...
The Short Printed (SP) Stuff
Carmelo Anthony Topps Chrome Printing Plate 1/1 - Back from the days where a 1/1 was somewhat hard to get!
Raymond Felton Gold Stars #3/8 - Have to say this is my first gold card and I'm LUVVIN' IT!
Princess Leia, I mean Luis Scola tag #2/5 - Like the fact that this tag basically has as much writing as it does on the back of the card! You know a tag is good when you can tell the exact season and the fact it's game worn and comes from MEI Gray!
The Point Guards (PG)
Finishing up with some of the higher quality cardboard....
Tony Parker /50 - vet PG still tearing up the league! Side note, great looking card but clearly not designed to accomodate an auto.
Tony Parker GU auto /99 - Higher numbered but auto really pops because THE CARD CATERS FOR IT! Sorry, one of my bug bears, just had to vent, out of my system now...
Chauncey 'Big Shot' Billups Exquisite /225 - Looking dapper in his Championship Pistons colours...
...and a bit more Chauncey Exquisite-ness! Noble Nameplate /25. Bit dinged up and an ordinary patch but however you look at it it's a low numbered high end big on card auto in his Pistons gear!
Finally, Steve Nash....
GU /399 - look at Pau Gasol in the background! Looks like he's reciting a poem instead of trying to swat that shot....
You know I can't finish on that note, so here's a slightly better MVSteve.........
UD ATG Letterman auto #5/5! Slabbed at 8.5 with a 10 auto - and yes the wonky label is driving me insane every time I look at it!
