Cavs are looking good, I really like Waiters. I don't like Varejao though they need to get someone better in that role.
Realistic chance Lebron goes back too imagine that team then!
It seems a little odd to me to use a number 1 pick to grab someone you're hoping one day can overtake Earl Clark. Why wouldn't you grab someone who looks like a future superstar (oladipo perhaps). Even if you can't fit him on the court, his value is so much higher going forward. At the moment, Bennett is either going to be "ok" and come off the bench as a role player, or you'll trade him away for next to nothing because he hasn't had any chances to produce (and blown his chances thus far). I can't see any circumstance where intentionally drafting a lesser player makes sense, even if your starting 5 is set. Players all have a value - you could trade a good player for 2 more good bench players instead of one, or more future picks. I don't get it.I'm not talking them up like they're the dream team I'm just saying how we have a set starting five not only for this season but for the future, so we didn't need to draft a starter. We attempted to trade the pick right up until draft day but we didn't get an offer we liked so we drafted the best player available according to Chris Grant and it just happens that it is Bennett and his best role for the team is coming off the bench. Now he could break into the starting line up due to an injury or something like that. He could develop into a 3 and take over Clarke's starting spot. We just don't know yet. Remember all the people saying TT was a bust after his rookie season? Now look at him, one of the most improved players in the league. He took a while to adjust and Bennett May be on the same road. Waiters and Thompson were both surprise picks by Cleveland and both have turned out well. Bennett was a surprise pick so I have faith Chris Grant made the right pick

I agree it's far too early to pass judgment on Bennett. Time will tell. I am yet to hear a single person with a qualified opinion (outside of cavs management I suppose) justify why he was picked first though.I never said we picked him to replace Clarke I said he could one day if he develops into a 3 , he has a chance of taking Clarke's spot. Obviously to the Cavs front office, Bennett looks like a future superstar hence the reason we drafted him. Like I've said a million times, give Bennett time. He will prove everyone wrong
It was a thing if beauty!Goddamnit.. Clippers just got reamed by Orlando.
ruined my multiIt was a thing if beauty!
