Anyone tip LA to lose by 50+ cos i could be on the cards they way we r playing! Bobcats over Knicks too.

Only 6 minutes left in the game and the LA starters have shot 10-30 from the field, 3-4 from the FT line for a total of 27 points. Not even close to good enough!

The biggest thing with Bennett is that they took a player that was always going to be a bench player?? Even if he did get off to a great start, why use a No1 pick on another bench player?? They should have taken Oladipo and put Waiters on the bench, or Otto Porter and put Gee on the bench, or a longer term option, taking Noel!

I hope as much as anyone that Bennett will keep scoreless for a few more games (until more 13-14 products are released) then I can pick up cheap RC Autos! ;)

We picked him because last season our bench was a weak spot and needed improvements. Another reason is Chris Grant wants players who can play multiple positions and Bennett, even though we are playing him at the 4, can still play the 3.

It's not really that surprising when you think about though, the Cavs office have never really been that smart.

Look at all of out moves since LeBron left. Apart from one (the JJ Hickson for Casspi trade) all of them have been good moves. All the picks, Irving, Thompson, Waiters, Zeller have been good. Can't judge this years picks yet. We have rebuilt extremely well, with players who can play multiple positions and we haven't rushed and signed overpaid vets, we have been patient and signed low risk high reward players. We have made smart trades (apart from one) and acquired draft picks from multiple teams.

so does he play multiple positions or does he play the 4 only like you said a few posts back (Mike Brown's decision)

That makes no sense!

If they choose a good starter, it would send their current player tho the bench!

But we didn't need a good starter because our starting five is set! I've said this a million times and I'll say it again. We didn't need the number one pick this season. We didn't need a flat out superstar that needs to dominate from game one. We needed effective and solid role players to round out our bench. Chris Grant has said they choose Bennett because to Cleveland he was the best Player available and the player with the most talent

He is hardly going to say the should have taken someone else! That would destroy Bennett's confidence even more!

I'm sorry, but waiters and Gee are/should be bench players, Otto porter or Oladipo could have taken their spot.

Any #1 pick that only has 20mpg available to them is a waste

Waiters isn't a bench player. He has great driving and finishing ability and can hit the jumper if his open. He is also starting to become a better defender. His going to be a great player in this league. I agree that Gee is better off the bench, hence the reason were starting Earl Clarke.

Oh no wait sorry Otto Porter is a waste of a pick because he wasn't made an impact in his first four games. (Yes sarcasm is intended)

His minutes will increase this season as he plays better

Waiters was a bench player all his college career wasn't he? ;)

Bennet may have the ability to play 3 & 4, but he certainly doesn't have the conditioning! Even TT was too fat last season!

If Bennett doesn't shed some pounds I will start calling him DeJuan Blair 2.0

I too hope he picks up and plays huge from now on, but I still think PF is not where the Cavs should have drafted!

I know season is early but could Dwight howard be the most improved player by the end of season and if so will M.V.P. be in the cards .

Dude's back problems look forgotten .Free throws are going down .

(hoping for nasty BIG MAN dunks from howard hey maybe even oden and bynum) .Hoping we see bynum dunk on howard now thats better .(WITH A CRAZY TECHNICAL)lol.

Waiters was a bench player in college but I think the 3 guard rotation of Irving/Waiters and Jack off the bench is great. Waiters may be a bench player on other teams but he fits in nicely with the starts in Cleveland.

Again, I believe the conditioning will come with more minutes etc etc. Bennett is a player we need to be patient with. Some rookies have a huge impact from day one other take a while to make an impact.

I don't think drafting a PF was that bad of a choice. Like Thompson is gonna be a gun and Bennett backing him up is a great punch off the bench. Bynum and Varejoe I wouldn't want playing PF.

Problem i've always had with Dwight in MVP talks is how much does he actually show up to help him team win games? From what i've seen he tends to go missing when everyone else is playing poorly, instead of taking over and turning things around. I've never seen him as a game winner - just a nice "piece".

MVP so far: CP3 miles in front, Paul George, Kevin Love - with Anthony Davis my dark horse at the moment :) And all the usual suspects will be up there by season's end, LBJ, KD, Drose etc.
