Hello people,
I'm a 'very' moderate card collector from Melbourne. Moderate meaning I have a few VFL/AFL, Australian cricket, and Australian motor racing cards I collected as a kid (1980s). I also collected the Herald Sun series in 07 and 09 (is that bad?), and I have been collecting the Champions Select this year (after my girlfriend started buying them for me). Now I must have them!
Anyway, my card collecting accelerated markedly recently when I was given an old ice-cream tin full of 1920s and 30s VFL cards. I don't have a full set of a series but so far have established that I do have team sets. I'm still researching. I also have a number of duplicates. The condition of them varies.
So I guess I just got serious about collecting (if spending two days straight researching is any indication). I look forward to learning and discussing things with the rest of you. I've never done the forum thing before so please bare with me (I have read the rules though).
