This guy ain't happy. - read description -

I find they even take awhile to redeem scrub players too which is weird. I can understand more the high demand players!

What I don't get is how they release new cards of a player (auto) when the redemptions of that player have not been filled yet.

This to me can only be because of the simple fact that they don't care about collectors and only care about money.

It is frustrating for Collectors and even for Panini, on my recent tour I found out some comes down to NBA licensing in time, some the slackness and attitude of players even the scrubs and also the managers/teams of players not allowing easy access to players for signings etc.

I get frustrated too but is a difficult situation to please everyone.

I would say Panini care more about collectors than Upper Deck and Topps put together. Only through my experiences

Aren't the players signed to contracts by Panini to sign? If so wouldn't said contracts have a "must sign by deadline?"

Don't they have sticker sheets?

My example: how can Blake griffin have a $hit load of signed NT stuff and other releases, but yet I have 8 redemptions waiting......... This can only mean (imo) that they needed his auto to promote the release.

And secondly isn't he a panini ambassador or spokesman? Surely they would have exclusive access to him.

I'm trying not to make it a dig at panini, but as I don't have redemptions with other companies I can't really say anything about them.

cause some products are on card autos only haha. The reason for this? Is because collectors complain about sticker autos.

If peopel want their autos on time then they would need to switch to sticker autos to guarantee it.

Not necessarily and in sports anything can happen.

Yeah players like Griffin and Kobe etc are signed by doesnt mean its hard to catch up with them etc. Even off season most players go away and are even uncontactable. Its a hard one but I agree players like Griffin and Kobe should have all autos in on time. It also comes down to NBA Licesning approval and more. Lots go on behind the scenes that I didnt know about before touring Panini.

So the thinking behind this is, ok our big product is coming out, we need you to sign these NT cards Blake, but forget about signing the sticker sheet we sent you, that can wait? And I mean if NT was totally all on card then maybe....... But we all know it wasn't.

Seeing how bloody many redemptions Blake has, I'm starting to think this is a problem from his end. Still more Panini's fault/responsibility though.

I propose a new laws to make the hobby as fun as it was 'back in the day':

1. Only allowed to put cards that are already signed into products. Get rid of this false advertising rubbish. It's funny how I can't put a card for sale on here, then after someone buys it I say it MAY come in if it becomes available in future
2. Get rid of scrub autos altogether. Do we really need autos from every rookie in every product?
3. Make up for less autos by having more AWESOME inserts. They will actually become sort after again

There's my thoughts :p

You hit the nail on the head. This isn't even a "back in the day" argument, surely it makes sense to ditch autos of players such as R. Sacre, G. Forbes, L. Thomas, K. English etc. Even alot of the legends need ditching. R. Blackman, Tripucka etc.

What garbage.

things need to be clearer.

1:360 packs gets you this insert. The insert set is full of All Stars and young guns, not plebs.

I don't care how "sick" a patch is if it's of some scrub.

I have plenty of time for starters and solid bench guys, legends of the game and rookies, but the garbage needs to stop.

yeah scrub rookies serve a purpose. i mean i bet a lot of people cursed when they pulled there Lin Rookies, then suddenly Knicks start him and BOOM! but once there past there rookie season then i dont wanna see any more of there autos, or atleast scale it right back to a few releases per player per year

you know what i cant stand? waiting on a redemption only to be sent a sticker auto. thats BS. Redemptions i can handle. and honestly id somewhat be happy with seeing more redemptions if it meant no more stick autos. i dont mind waiting, as long as im waiting for a good thing.

speaking of waiting my CP3 11-12 limited patch auto is getting pretty long in the tooth.....and i highly doubt they are going to suprise me with an on card auto :(

Scrub rookies sometimes make it big, I don't mind getting all the rookies to sign. Imagine if they never got Paul Millsap (pick 47) or Patty Mills (55) or DeJaun Blair (37) or Isaiah Thomas (60) to sign, I bet a lot of people have fun PC'ing those players!

Hmmmm, as much as it is nice to see people collect these guys, in a day where most people are looking for value in their busting, I don't like that there's soooo many scrubs that are out of the League after their rookie contracts.

Millsap has collectors?

Plus what usually happens is that the top players have say /199 and the rest are /499, meaning there's way more junk out there.

You are right through, some do make it big, there's normally a few steals in the 2nd round that come good. I'd like to see more on cards of the top rookies and less cards of I. Thomas, who will never start in the League again.
