Aside from the NRL contract not being registered properly, the ATO will be bloody ruthless if player(s) are/were receiving money and not including it in their taxes.

There wasn't any suggestion of that. The story was Cullen being interviewed after severing ties with Cronulla; discussion of acct opened to channel funds for sports science/medicine, revelation of a 'chemist' and 3rd party payments off the books being paid to Gallen.

Other than that, all I can say is, wait til it comes on to the ABC I-view and watch it for yourselves.

Gallen was paid by a sponsor in cash & not declared in the salary cap, big dramas

David Furner has been sacked as coach of the Canberra Raiders after five seasons in charge.
In a statement on Wednesday, the club said the board made the decision to terminate the coach's contract because "the team's inconsistent performances were not reflective of the talent within the squad."

Who are Canberra kidding ? An injury prone captain, a handful of prima donnas and a bunch of massive forwards that don't aim up.

Sad news. I don't know what is going on behind closed doors but Furner comes across as a really decent, honest bloke. When Canberra play poorly he never looks for excuses in the press conference. He has had a terrible run of bad luck with Campo and Dugan etc and his wife was battling cancer for most of the last few seasons. Good luck to Furnsy in his future endeavours.

As Shane Sharks said, it's mostly old news anyway. Kinda poor from ABC. Even the music is misleading. Then again, the ABC and most of its RL people are actually AFL people...so draw your own conclusions there...

The drama surrounding the Sharks is old news and I was surprised that the journos at the ABC have dug up what has been known for the last 6 months, oh, on Bruno Cullen, what you have come out with was common knowledge before you entered your interim position of Sharks CEO, tell us something new or go away.

As said by Shane the interview was granted to the ABC on an entirely different agenda, he was rail roaded and the interview then edited to suit. I liked how he constructed his lie about not knowing about "that" account.......the off site account he knew about was another one. If the reporter was quick enough she would have asked well what accounts did you know of.

Maybe most of it rehashed but still not good publicity.

Heard a rumour a week or so ago that Bennett was potentially heading "North"?

A good mate I work with is best mates with a senior Tigers player (they played 10+ years of footy together) and he shared a couple of bits of info when he spoke with him today.

1) He reckons Benji whilst named, wont play this week and will be dropped as has pretty much given up on the Tigers and is in self preservation mode.
2) What the Tigers are hearing is that they expect Gallen will be fined and suspended due to the current ongoing issues. He said this is what they have heard around the traps.

Take it with a grain of salt if you will.
