No - you made my point that your just being a whinger.

You could have spent $800 on Select boxes (and i have before) and had the same outcome with no hits (unless you count TOTY, CPOTY and TP's of no name players as hits). That's the gamble of buying boxes. Its just not ESP's fault.

Traders needs sigs, or else it's a boring as hell release (like the never ending snorefest that was Champions).

I think they will vary it up next year with a lot more inserts though, that was its main issue this year, for me.

Not really exciting if the sigs are 1-6 boxes now is it? Pretty hard to collect the set??!

I think for it to be a parallel set, it has to use the same photo, but have them with different colored variations ( like the fast and furious gold and silver versions)

I think you may see something like this with the next major release

How is it not their fault? They packed it out with the crap collation!! Doesn't really surprise me then, that your stupid enough to shell out money where you're not guaranteed hits! Explains a lot really. Me, I won't do that!! I think you'll find I've "whinged and bitched" more about ESP practices. All along I've said the cards where great. Most of what I've been saying are suggestions for future releases and how ESP could improve and look after the collectors a little more, since they're the ones that pay ESP's bills. I'm lucky that I can afford to buy cases, and beat their shitty odds, but if you opened your eyes, you'd see what i'm saying is about helping out all the small collectors, who can't, and who deserve to get value for money. No one expects to get a $400 card in every box, but you should get something in there. I'm pretty sure calling me entitled and a whinger, may have started this.....don't you think?

but seriously, anyone asking for different pictures on parallel sets is kidding themselves, the time they would have to invest in that is ridiculous. i would rather not have a parallel set at all in terms of collecting, but in saying that its good for dealers to make a few more bucks and what not, adds a little value for money when case buying.

Select had different photos for their parallels on every set, so it is definitely possible.

I reckon parallel sets are awesome but would love to see a red / green variation as in some American releases with limited numbering. Not sure I'd be keen on 1/1s or anything like that but numbered to 100 or 50 would be cool

Terry told me at Penrith that they are considering having two parallel sets next year with the second being 1 per 6 packs

Parallel sets can have a purpose especially in lower end sets. I would hate to see them overdone though.

You can easily add some value to sets by adding these at very little cost. You could have a 1 per pack, a #/100 and what about a 1/1?

Imagine the chase for NRL 1/1 cards?

I would kill to be able to put together a high end NRL release.....I probably wouldnt make back much money for the manufacturer but it would be packed with awesome cards!

I'd prefer if they got rid of parallel sets. I like the idea of 1 per pack inserts but I'd rather them do something like 2006 and 2009 which weren't just straight copies of the base set.

I really like the elite set, love the fact they have added a couple of players that don't generally get a card, the thickness is much better, only thing I would change is not have both signature cards in the same box, other than that it's a good release.

Question for collectors: Would you Prefer esp to have an 18 base set per team (17 players with coach/emblem) and no parallels, or do you prefer the 9 or 12 card base set with parallels?

OMG, 9 player team set and a 9 player parallel. Please lord don't give me an 18 player team set with no parallels....I'd need to hire people to come in and sort base sets for me because i'd deadset give up
