Pretty close assessment but Thurston was not 100%, game 2 will be totally different. What i was disappointed in was too much drop ball in the 50 -70min and the fact that NSW didnt put them away. Awesome win Blues and now do us proud and finish the job in Qld.My prediction is that if it is dry NSW will start fast and out muscle in the 1st half of game one and it will be 12-6 (NSW up) at half time and 18 10 at full time. 2nd half NSW will have to defend and try and get a 12 point lead before QLD try to do there predictable come back. This is where Laurie will have to keep some key substitutes to offset the attack and counter with a try.
Now if it rains it will advantage QLD and there will be a grind and kick game and if QLD kick as accurately as they have in the past NSW will have a tough time of it as Billy has much better positional play compared with Hayne. GO NSW we are slightly overdue
tbh pretty disappointed with how they came out in the second half, zero mongrel. If this were hockey someone would've put Gallen's head through the glass, instead they maintained the status quo of the first half. Got a sniff, but that only seemed to energize them for about 5 minutes. Can't say I enjoy seeing someone taking cheap shots at a guy with his arms down, but whatever, its Myles, the greater damaged was probably taken by Gallen's hands. The Hayne flop was pretty laughable, ref wasn't going to pay it until Hayne had a gripe.
In the end the better team won tonight, they were simply, faster, stronger and hungrier.

okay so i have watched the game again and every interview / press conference.
first of all, i hate myles. but probs to him in his interview, he took it, and stuck up for gall, said he shouldnt of been sent of and shouldnt get outed.
i mean he is a grub he can take as much as he gives, cant fault that.
and my other other thought is hoffman needs to GO. he missed cam smith that let him get through for his double movement and he was the one who missed hodges went he went through the middle and the scored on the next play

NSW easily the better team, QLD started to come back hard in the last 20 but left it too late. Lewis was absolutely the best player out there, very similar to when he came off the bench for the Anzac test. I have no dramas with Gallen not getting binned, it is origin after all but I will be surprised if he doesn't cop one week. QLD looked very flat and lethargic and only seemed to spark up when Teo and Parker came on. The most impressive thing for me was NSW line speed, up in QLD's face all night. I look forward to game 2, Thaiday to the bench and maybe Papali into the 17.
parker was probably best on ground for you lot. he gets that offload away every time, and has great selection choice, rarely does he do a bad one.
mcqueen was a waste of space honestly, i understand his value as a utility if theres injury but hes frigen useless. they need to blood DCE next game.
shillington was overly dissapointing for you lot, need the return of hannant
