Having previously read the biography (by Mitch Albom) about the Fab Five of Michigan, I recently (on eBay) came across DVD doco based on the Fab Five's two year history together, and when it arrived in todays post, I did not hesitate in watching it this evening at my first opportunity.

Whilst I am sure most people know a bit about the history of the Fab Five, and especially for those who do not, or to you young pup's out there who have only been following basketball for the last 10 years or so, I would strongly recommend a viewing if you get a chance. I am positive you would be able to download it from your preferred torrent of your choosing.

It shows that for a team that never actually won the National Championship, how a group of young men could change the landscape of College Basketball forever, allowing/encouraging talented freshman to be able to come in and contribute straight away to a teams massive success, but at the same time, it intensely shows the double standard of College Basketball (which still remains to this day) which can allow individual University's and TV Networks to make billions of dollars from these kids' talents, whilst not having to give them a single dollar, safe in the knowledge that they are providing these kids with the opportunity to a) get an education, and b) highlight the kids talent sufficiently that they are able to earn money in the future, whether it be in the NBA, Europe, here in Australia or other parts of the world.

If you get a chance, have a look, I guarantee that if your a basketball fan, you will enjoy it immensely.

Chris Webber's timeout.... Poor bugger. And that doco made me like Jalen Rose.
Haha me too. Jalen was a funny dude. Is this the one that we are talking about:

I watched the ESPN Doco , Well worth watching , these guys were under so much pressure in the 2nd year.
Webber still dosent talk about it

is it the one that was done by 30 for 30 on espn?

I dont think that it is the same one, as the one that I have watched (see below) goes for around an hour and a half.

Yep, this is the one I am referring to. I have always been a Jalen Rose fan, but he definitely adds to his persona in this doco. He was actually one of the two Executive Producers, so, to state the obvious, he was HEAVILY involved in the whole DVD and how it portrayed the Fab Five.

Love all the bball ESPN 50 for 50 docos! watched all of them over and over.

Reggie Miller vs the Knicks is my fav.

When through a phaze last year of watching every basketball doco I could find and this one was definitely awesome.

yeah that's a good one. Jordan Rides The Bus is another good one.

that was definately worth watching. I just watched Andrew Boguts "Aussies Abroad" special on ESPN and it was pretty average unfortunately. Thought it could of been done alot better.
