I hate it but we've all talked about this before - rule exploitation. And if it costs them $5k or 10k or $15k to get the advantage, or to win a game then what is that is the scheme of things. Nothing. It's a joke of a fine really. I don't know how they'd stop it either.
No blood no foul ?

I was talking more in a general i think he is a douche way. not because he flopped, although i'm not surprised.

Easy - a flop gets you a 1 game suspension! That is the only way to do it, especially in the playoffs!
 
Suspension for Birdman.. Can't really say I'm surprised, he should have been thrown out in G5. Good thing is that Haslem will be forced to have more minutes, and we may see Joel Anthony play some minutes who can defend and rebound. We'll see if Miami can close it out... Gonna be a good game!

Although, IMO, there are 2 types of flops. 1 where people do take genuine contact but exaggerate the effects, and the other where people react to contact that never happened!

It is the second one that s***s me the most!!!

And that would see Wade, Lebron, West and Stephenson on the sidelines for a fair while! ;)

Lets be honest...a flop is a flop. I really miss the early 90's, there was none of this non/minor contact flopping BS. I agree with the comment further up, no blood no foul!

Agree with this man. I understand that they wanted to clean up the game... but taking the emotion out of it is just ridiculous!
Some of the best moments in NBA history (Iverson stepping over Lue, Jordan barking at Ewing, Kemp "double point",
Shaq staring down everybody he dunked on) wouldve been a tech foul in todays game... :rolleyes:

Amen to that! If Mutombo were playing now, he would be tossed in every game around the 5 minute mark of the first quarter for waving his finger...I hate how players get teched for just reacting to a call by turning up their palms and saying, "WHAT??!!". Technical foul. LeBron staredown on Terry...pfft...awww, did he get his feelings hurt?

Cleveland days all over again.. Bunch of slack jawed yokels Bosh and Wade (granted they may have injuries but goddamn, a whole series playing bad?). Nice to see Grant Hill in the commentary booth, going to miss him in the league, one of the last guys remaining from the mid 90's..
 
Going to call it right now, 3 mins into the 3rd. We are going back to Miami for Game 7. Looking at the body language, shot selection, defence of Miami and just lacklustre performance, they are going to lose this game by double digits. It's baffling how they don't seem to care. Every possession is important!!
