To me, it is the most (Don't even know the word for it) Unorganised(?) investigation I've ever come across.
They say they know something, Yet it's been 6 months and nothing has come of it?
Surely, If they have the info... They wouldn't need to take forever to organise interviews only to conduct 1 (or half of one) and then cancel them.
Why are the sharks the fall guys here? If he was at sharks for a couple months, And was up to no good... Then surely Manly are in trouble?? He was there for years!!
-In thier strong period no less!!
It don't make sense to me, I cant work out if there is something in it, Or it's all just a heaps of nothing about nothing???

its all a smoke screen for this completely useless government. all we hear about now is the asada scandal and nothing about the government ( have we forgotten about craig thompson and slipper ). asada have even themselves admitted that the press conference was handled wrong and that the government should not have taken control of the conference like they did.

I don't know about it all being about nothing or a smoke screen, it appears well documented that Cronulla players were injected and given creams etc during the the time of Steve Dank. I don't even think the players themselves are denying that, their argument is they don't believe that the substances were illegal or contained anything illegal and the fact there is no positive tests makes them believe they are innocent.

I believe the interviews were cancelled as it was obvious that no one was going to roll on a mate and ASADA would gain nothing by conducting the interviews, so why waste the time.

If ASADA can prove that the substances were illegal then yep its going to get messy, very messy and they wont need the testimony of any players. So its simply down to ASADA proving the contents of the supplements.

To me it is more about; are the Cronulla players or the Club itself culpable? If it is the club watch out for some interesting court cases as the club gets its ar$e sued to within an inch of its existence.

peptides were legal in 2011, which is pretty much all asada has evidence of.

The most laughable aspect of the whole deal was the fact that they announced (some months ago) that any player that came forward / gave themselves up would be afforded certain leniencies. Smacked of a mob with no evidence calling the players' collective bluffs.
Needless to say, no one came forward. Seems to me that the players are as much in the dark, having taken or been given certain substances on the advice of "professionals" hired by the clubs. Just like anybody going to see a doctor.
The whole thing is a farce and the fact that it has dragged on for this long is a disgrace.

No they weren't..

Peptides are classified as a Schedule 2 (S2) prohibited substance on the WADA Prohibited List and are therefore prohibited for use by professional athletes both in and out of competition. Peptides have been a WADA prohibited substance since at least 2008.

As noted in the Australian Crime Commission report.

that may be true but the peptides they are accused of taking are not growth hormone peptides and were legal in 2011, only being banned in 2012

hopefully not...

Weyman to the Knights? The longer the haggling over Michael Weyman's future goes, the greater the chance of the big fella linking up with his old mentor Wayne Bennett in Newcastle. Weyman is happy enough at the Dragons but the club hasn't been able to meet his terms. Weyman played his best footy under Bennett a few seasons ago and a reunion is looking on the cards if the Dragons don't up their offer in coming days.

I'm a Weyman fan and would be sorry to see him leave.

Our Knights might be half busted but sitting 5th with plenty of improvement left isn't too bad IMO.

Word is in Newcastle that they are not interested and its just his manager looking to force a deal with Saints.

Keep your broken players - we already got Beau Scott.

This be a good one for panthers supporters

Benji marshell wife was on triple m today nd at the end of the show she says u never know he might be there meaning Penrith

It's a known fact that Gus loves Benji and he would love the chance for him to be the face of the academies they are building post football e.g. What they wanted Thurston for...but I'd rather not spend that much (what he would be looking for) on Benji given the point in his career.

i agree, should bring back brandy and mg

is this thing with matt keating a rumour or is gus looking at signing him as well.

The Tigers got rid of Sheens and now they should do the same with Benji, he is way past his best and it would free up some money so they could buy some decent forwards for the future!
