Dugan and Carney spotted at Kogarah last night ,the word on the Hill was Dugan is gonna sign , but saying that its been going on for 3 weeks about Dugan signing ,personally i don't think he will sign after knocking us back to go to Brisbane till that fell though.

Mortimer trying to say its disrespectful to canberra if dragons sign dugan this year, urging them not to.

I posted this last week, in the papers today, Dugan has agreed, But Schubert is been a d1ck....

On Steve Mortimer, cant remember him asking for Barba to be banned1 is that because he wears Blue/White, at the end of the day Dugan might be an idiot, but he has not broken the law or committed a crime, bashed his pregnant girlfriend x 2...

Dugan Watch
This is from another forum...

"I have a mate who works at the NRL, he was telling me the delay with Dugan is that Schubert is now saying he wants to see Police Records, and Doctors (physchiatric) Reports before registering Dugans contract!
Now he has no right to see Doctors report as they are confidential.
Now 3 weeks ago he gave the green light, what has changed? Has some other Club got in his ear? "

Hahaha - I love when you have your Red and White blinkers on AY!!

haha I agree Dugan should be able to play for the dragons hes a great player and its a shame to see such a talent away from the field, look at Carney when he returned from cairns and first started playing at the roosters, i watched on his games up there at mareeba and the quality he had was crazy the minute he returned to nrl he becomes dally m player of the year. Dugan needs to get back on the field i don't care what team its for hes too good to be sitting on the sidelines and we dont need another code to snatch him up! Mortimer needs to just pipe down, the story is on fox sports news haha

I actually agree with Mortimer. I don't think it is only disrespectful to the Raiders, it is disrespectful to the game. You shouldn't be able to walk out on a contract and waltz straight in to a new team a few weeks later without any repercussion. If the NRL allow him to play this year they are setting a terrible precedent.

He didn't walk out he was sacked and his contract terminated for being a d^ckhead nothing criminal. :)

I have mixed emotions on this one, I agree he should be punished in some sense but I don't think you can stop him playing based on what he has done.

I think it was a pretty deliberate and engineered exit on his part.

Not sure why St George as so excited about him though. Has player only 1 game this i would think is not anything close to match fit. Didn't he miss a game this year due to a sore lip?

While technically he was sacked, he wanted out and purposely forced the clubs hand. He wouldn't turn up to training (team mates were even saying they thought he was faking injuries at training), drinking while injured, posting rubbish on twitter, Instagram etc then didn't bother turning up to the board meeting to discus his future. What he did isn't much different to walking out in my opinion.

He was meant to miss round 1 with an infected lip (got a cut from a broken Bacardi breezer bottle I think) and the way he played he might as well have missed the game. It was definitely a deliberately engineered attempt to get out and he should be allowed to play but if it is this year Canberra should be compensated. He is very close to Carney which may explain why they were at Kograh last night

Carney isn't coming, he would be not that public about it, more like catching up with his mates from canberra Bronx Goodwin, Dugan etc..

umm why should Canberra be compensated, did they when Carney left, which club has ever been compensated for sacking a player??

Because as outlined in previous posts Dugan's conduct, attitude and behaviour was quite deliberate and forced Canberra into sacking him which is akin to walking out on the club. I am happy for him to play again because he needs to get his life on track and is an exciting and prodigious talent but why should another club benefit from the millions of dollars Canberra pumped into his development and not to mention how hard they had to lobby third party backers in the community to raise the $$$ for him to resign. Canberra did the right thing in this instance and lose out? Not very fair!

Pretty funny comments from you St George boys. You lot obviously don't remember your reaction when Bennett was taking players out of your club.

There's a bit of a difference between signing a player with no club and cherry picking players at a club you are (or were) employed by.

I think it was a pretty deliberate and engineered exit on his part.

I'm not sure where the exitement is, he may be a good buy but the jury is still out.

pretty sure we didn't ask for compensation ;) im sure my comments were more like Bennett is a c**t...
Either way as Kyle said every club develops players, then has them snatched by other's, we have had more than our fair share of junior players been taken by the likes of Peter O'Sullivan, Brian Smith etc over the years...

You and Ross have made my point for me.;)

Any you can have back Darius at anytime. I will even drop him off at Kogarah for you.

and Beau Scott too while i'm at it.
