WHATS EVERONES THOUGHTS ON THIS

I have thousands of inserts signed some look good some look bad. It is a personal choice to sign or not to sign. Whether to sign high end cards and low issue releases is very debatable. If I was to get 1 done I would pay the player for their perfect signature so they do not destroy the card with a shocker. Also would buy a brand new pen and test it a few times as to not end up with a streaky sig. Small price to pay for everything to turn out right with your high end card.

Its a personal choice because half the people will say it ruined the card and the other lot will say its about the signature.
The reason why you get a card signed is either to add value or have it keep the value.
Here is a example retirement cards should be about $10 as they are 4 per box but i have seen them on sale for as low as $4 someone tell me hows that value so if you have bought this card at $10 to $15 and you get it signed worst case is you will be able to sell it for at least $10.
If you have a $80 to $100 card you get it signed because it stops people just burning the price because someone has the same card so by having it signed you at least get to hold value, but as i say it a personal choice a card collector does not want it signed but someone who gets signatures its about the signature.

Would you get a $500 card signed though Corey?
Yes,because when they all hit the market or their is 2 or 3 of them for sale at the same time if this card was for sale for $400 and the third one is signed on sale for $450 people will pay the extra because its signed as most people know they were unsigned so to have it signed i know and i hate to use this but they will claim its Rare because its signed.

good point you make about holding the value, i had to get my Luke Lewis Gold signed just to get $60 back from it

i would agree, some people will pay more if its signed, but if this sig was on a redemption I wouldn't want it

Fair enough. I assume you would spend more money on a pen that this guy did!

I don't agree. This card would be close to $600 by now unsigned imo. Even if it was a perfect bold sig, I don't think it would get close to that.

Agree 100% - the card in question has been reduced to $450 now and no bids, and I'm not going anywhere near it - if it was unsigned it would be different!

It's not like Ben Hornby's signature is difficult to come by.

I Will Third That..... base cards yes.
This Card started at $600 now $450.
Put an unsigned hornby on ebay for $450 IMO wouldn't last a week before it would sell.
