ESP Series 2

Terry from ESP said to me earlier this year that jersey signature cards would feature autos on the card not the jersey piece as the pens used didnt really work well on specific jerseys.

My prediction is game used ball cards.

a quote from another thread
Been confirmed that Young Guns are limited to 260 copies and legends to 208.

Also confirmed that all signature cards from Limited Edition forward will be numbered.

Isnt limited the rep set. So going by that, dont expect sigs to be numbered in series 2

Hoping for game worn jersey cards, that are signed on the card. Hopefully there is a better chance to hit signatures too (i bought 3 boxes plus probably easily another box worth of loose packs - and i got one young gun). Series 1 was too hit and miss for my liking.

I think you will see a change for the better this time round.

I'm thinking along the lines that they can't get any worse. If they learn from the mistakes of the first few releases, the only way is up. My main concerns (in order of concern from least to most) are the variety, quality and ratios of inserts.
Thus far they have failed to deliver, but I want them to prove me wrong for the future.

There needs to be better odds on the inserts and there needs to be more cards in the lower insert subsets.
10 cards for lowest insert subset is too little and the lack of inserts is making it boring if you don't hit a signature! I have bought about 5 boxes worth of packs and have already managed to complete a set of all the non-signature insert subsets because there are only 32 cards between the 3. I completed the retirements set 4 times!

The variety and ratios are my main things they need to improve. Of course quality and stamping the serial number of each card is also important as well.

I spoke to Terry about this exact point.........you need there to be a hook for people to keep going back buying packs.

I have bought about 2 boxes in loose packs and have pulled 4 of the same retirement card. That doesn't make me want to go back and buy more.

Im predicting this set will be released in NZ about grand final time or early 2014...
Id love to buy loose packs of Traders or Powerplay here in NZ but it appears even that is still god knows when away...
I know we are considered the poor cousins to Australia but do ESP really need to prove they dont like us??

Im predicting lots of mis-information and poor communication from esp for this release.

That's where my money lies as well.

Apart of course from the obvious numbering or more accurately non numbering issue.

I would like to see the release limited to a smaller number of case (300-500), not as mass produced as the last few offerrings.
