A first glance at my Magic/Bird PC

finally some new additions
some nice gifts to my 30th birthday
very simple, but a really nice card which perfectly matches the PC theme
and a 40 card album full of Magic/Bird pairings 
the last card took me over a year of waiting and some disappointments to get it.
I had redeemed it in August last year on Panini's website. According to their weekly Redemption Updates the card has been shipped for the first time in June 2011. So I was hoping to get it very quick.
A few months went by and none of the 5 existing copies had been surfaced on ebay or anywhere. So I tried to get in contact with panini, but all my request have been ignored.
Even after a year I still got no informations on my outstanding redemptions. In September I was finally able to get in contact with the new guy at the Panini customer service.
But he told me, since he was working there (April 2012), he had not seen any of those 5 copies in stock. He told me there was no chance for me to still get this card, even though I had the redemption for it.
Since he had no comparable card to send as replacement I decided to ask for a box of 2011 Panini Prime Hockey and he agreed. best card was a Jumbo Patch of Landeskog /15
the same day he agreed to send the box as replacement, the first redeemed copy of this card was listed on ebay. I was really pissed.
I had asked the seller where he did get that card from and he told me that he had pulled it out of a pack. If that is true Panini seemed to have put both the actual card and the redemption card into the packs.
Since Panini had disappointed me with my redemption I decided to take my "only" chance and placed my bid on the auction. Well, I won.
And finally after 2 weeks of waiting I received the folllowing card:
It is not the best patch, but it was the last missing piece to complete my 2010 Absolute Memorabilia Absolute Heroes Rainbow of Magic
with matching serial numbers on jersey/patch and jersey AU/patch AU.
wow, it has already been six months, since I posted the last update one my Magic/Bird PC.
Some of you may expect a 100 card mailday, but it has been very quiet the last months.
But on Saturday I was able to get a very nice Bird for my collection.

This is awesome, only found it now. Loving the story as you read all the posts - surprised how calm you are about the redemption - that is one of the worst panini stories I have heard. At least you got it in the end.

Knee Deep In The Hoopla
The reasons for visiting these message boards are decreasing but for the chance to see Bird cards like these it is worth it to keep looking. I like how the Bird ones have different uniform pieces for the different numbered versions.
Do you collect or have you ever seen Bird cards that are the same but have two different uniform colours? That is a way to get the same card twice, but different. I have two All Time Authentics jersey cards of McHale, one with green and the other white game-used jersey material.
