Just wanted to see what you guys were up to for Aussie Day....not only a public holiday, but you pretty much have to get pissed....or your considered un australian...

I am getting up early and driving to to Yeppoon (beach)....they have Australia Day festivities on every year and will be watching the cricket on the big screen!!

Probably end up in bed around 6pm..;)

So wat are you up to??
 
I'll be heading out with the fiance to a BBQ at her familys place.

We still have a quite a few drinks that were leftovers from NYE so no doubt we will try and finish them off :)

I also intend to keep Slammin Sam Kekovich happy (and the federation he promotes) by having some Lamb on Australia day.

Lamb, Beer and hopefully sunshine....not a bad way to spend Australia day!

My favourite day of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going to a friends BBQ around the corner from my place (his birthday, oz day and housewarming all in one), AND...

It's my 5th anniversary with the girlfriend! No it wasn't an Australia day hook up, we hooked up occasionally before then, but decided to start going out that day.
 
Heading to the GF's parent's for Breakfast and then to the Races at Wagga to win some money. Hopefully can get some cricket in as well. Also might catch the Hottest 100 top 10 .
 
Ive unfortnately got to work, from midday to midnightish; I get a day off later in the year in lieu, as well as getting double time and a half, but its not the same :(

LOL oh good. Coach go home for an hour. Go to the stadium play and wait a few hours. Coach again and again and then wait to see when they say your game is and where. Wait a little more and decide if its worth going home or not. Eat crap from the canteen all weekend and put up with pushy parents.

Yep thats the one. go from steaming hot stadium to steaming hot stadium.
 
Not that anyone really cares - I am kicking back and relaxing before a tough 2 weeks I have ahead !

I do have a game of cricket to umpire on Saturday though !
 
yeah, nothing too big for me....unless you count corporate box tickets for the one dayer tomorrow at Adelaide Oval between Oz and the old enemy big!!! :D

ah life is good...
 
Ist beer cracking at 11am. 12pm sharp at the rsl for lunch and coopers on tap , a day of gambling and drinking with the missus(thats pretty much every saturday ive just moved it back one day hahaha). Watch the cricket on the big screen and generally get messy.
 
Eh, I was un-Australian and worked today (like every public holiday). I gotta teach those chickens to stop laying eggs for public holidays so I don't have to go to work ;) Then again knowing my luck I'd still have to feed them. :mad:
