just want to vent a little, a share my pain with my fellow members :cry:

I had been watching a ty lawson 12-13 totally certified black 1of1 auto! A dream card for my pc. The seller was in the usa and didnt ship internationaly. i msg him during the week to ask if shipping to aus was available and he said not a problem and the shipping charge will be adjusted at checkout.

With 1 minute of the auction left this morning and bidding at $46.06 i couldent believe that it was within my reach! Not wanting to be outbid i chucked $200 in 'make a bid' only to have in bold red letters say that it was declined due to international shipping not provided.
I was fuming as i watched a bid of $102.50 take out one of my dream cards!

Its going to be a sad few days now until select comes out and i waste money on autos of spud rookies...

Im sure youve all got stories the same if not worse, but still being in my first year of collecting this one hurts.

Thanks for reading, mojo to you all!!

OH THAT SUCKS MATE WHAT I DO IS I HAVE A MATE IN THE USA, AND I HAVE HIS ADDY SO I CAN ALWAYS BID NO MATTER WHAT, AND IF THEY DO POST TO OZ ,ON CHECK OUT I PUT MY AUSSIE ADDRESS IN, THIS WORKS 100% OF THE TIME

Thanks mate, so do you have his address registered on your ebay so it looks as though you live in the US? its the first time i havent been able to bid even if they said no international shipping. It must be a setting on the sellers side of things which stops int people bidding. I sent im an email just saying that he may want to change that setting or not say he will ship int.

dont want to sound sooky though, but i am a bit flat! lol

oh mate i feel your pain i missed a pc card last nite as internt went down,,,,,,this card would have completed my first rainbow:ermm:, im not sure if hes address is registed .....all i did is put it in to post card there one time and left it as my address. sort of a flook as i didnt mean for it to stay there....

Damn that does suck! I'd be registering that US Ebay account ASAP man. That would avoid this from happening again.

ive sold on US ebay before, but do i have to create a whole new account or can you link them? thanks mate

Sorry to hear mate, the exact same thing has happened to me before, it doesn't matter if the seller is happy to post internationally, if he has selected US only ebay won't allow the bid:(

yeah 1 of 1's dont come often anychance i see one i need/want i go for it..

if ur a bit funny bout setting up those accounts ask one of the friendly members on here most are happy to help I am

email him again and offer 150 and tell him your bid was declined because he had international restrictions on it. Actually tell him you will give him $200 shipped to australia. Surely he will accept that. And as has previously been mentioned, chuck in a US address in your ebay account. If u dont know anyone just find a hotel in a city and use that address. That allows you to then bid if they will ship it here. Then when you have won the card, go to pay now, change your address to australia ebay will say it doesnt ship to australia, you then click the link that says request invoice, it has your Aussie address and the seller then gets the request and resends the invoice with your aussie address. Plenty of ways around US only sellers!!!

Unlucky mate, this has happened to me. Now, if I've had to ask the seller if he'll post to Australia, once he's said yes I bid a low amount straight away to ensure I'm able to bid. If I can't, I'll ask the seller to lift the restriction.

Thanks for all the tips guys, you live and learn! It's just a shame it happened on such an important card.

and here I was feeling frustrated I had to pay $15.50 for an Anthony Morrow PLatinum gold standard base.... LOL you put me to shame buddy I am so sorry that this happened but looks like you have received some great tips!

Yeah tips have been great!
Wouldn't worry too much mate, with the amount of new stuff coming out from panini soon there will be a flood of sticker base 1/1s on the market, you will get one for sure.
That's true, glass half full approach
