Crazy 8 Box Breaks

Guess I'd just like to see a bit more of an effort by Al to actually ship things. I've been buying since September and have only ever received the one parcel, and that included the OCT break stuff that we all paid shipping on! So really I've yet to see any "free shipping" at all !

Personally, I kind of like to have my PC hits in hand just so I don't accidentally buy another one on ebay or something. I struggle to remember what I pulled from a vid I watched 2 months ago.... I might have to start taking notes ;)

But if he is waiting to fill a 250 ct, it looks like I'm going to be waiting a while longer ! And that sucker is gonna cost him a packet to send. There's a bit of weight in a full one of those ! The one Jon just sent for $18 was only about half full !

Quicker shipping would certainly be great! Once a month maybe I think is reasonable if people are buying lots of different box break shares. I imagine it must be hard for Al to track and remember what cards go to who.
 
Has anyone purchased from TeamBoxBreak.com before? They were just being talked about on another site where some people think they may be doing a switcheroo with some of the cards. Here is a video they are talking about:


They were discussing the Panini Black break (from about 9:30 in). It was mentioned firstly, that it was odd and kinda dodgy to be "hiding" the cards behind the box almost. And then at at approx 10:30 when the Criner is pulled the box "jumps" and then just after it appears the camera jumps like it has been edited when the Brazil Colts is pulled.

What is everyones thoughts on this? Just guys being Paranoid or some truth to this? I don't know much about cameras, video editing etc at all but to me it looks like the video footage has been cut. Would love to hear some others opinions though as like I say, I don't know jack all about video editing and the way video camers work etc. I know if I was doing a break like this, I would want the cards in front of the camera at all time to eliminate this sort of thing happening.
 
Think it's legit, he just knocks the box with his finger and someone adjusts the camera...but that's a dumb way to do it, just inviting people to have a go at them. Just leave the stack in view with a blank card on top..
 
Went in some Crazy 8 breaks today, Prizm and Supreme mixes. Some nice cards pulled, RG3 Auto, Wilson auto and a Floyd auto plate. I didn't do great, pretty glad I waited for the price drops, but got a few base etc. Only hit for me was a Melvin Ingram Chargers Auto from Prizm if anyone needs it when it comes..
 
Bought in to a random team case break on blowout for Totally certified - $49 for the spot - I got the Dolphins.... could have been a lot worse...

These are the way to go... no profit for host pretty much.... cost of case from Blowout plus supplies and shipping divided by 32 :thumbsup:

Wont touch the other sites now as $49 doesnt get you much more than a lower level team on these sites and here you have a chance at the Redskins, Colts, etc

Bought some Randoms yesterday from Crazy 8 and struck out...nada, zip etc except for base. Invested $30 in the Rams and Vikes today in a mixed box break (2 Magic, 3 Supreme) and came away with 3 Rams auto's I didn't have, one being a Janoris Jenkins /15 from Supreme. Helped make up for yesterday nicely. Fickle things them "Card Gods" ;-)
 
Valor Case and 3 x Magic Team Price Drop break going down on Crazy 8 this morning if anyones interested. Picked me up the Rams...Here's hoping for a Warner auto ! :thumbsup:

I was going to take the Raiders when they dropped to $50 and I was just beaten to the punch. Most have been less than a minute between me missing out and getting them!

Bummer...that seems to happen every now and then and the problem with breaks versus boxes is that if you do strike out you really do come away with just about stuff all !

Haven't seen the break myself yet, fingers and toes crossed !
 
Valor looks nice but not much content by the looks of it, especially for my teams, from the checklist there are no Chargers rookie autos and for the Ravens even Bernard Pierce is thin on the ground so may have to pick up any crumbs on Ebay
 
Fair few Rams in it, the usual rookie suspects, but somehow Kurt Warner managed to get an Auto spot...that'd be a nice pick up. Don't think the veterans in Valor are as good as they could be...

Just picked a Warner /10 Momentum Team Threads Signatures redemption code for only $46, very happy with that one too. Haven't added to the Warner auto's in a long time...
 
Here is hoping that with the weaker draft class this year (well weaker hobby wise anyway) that we may see more sets with more veteran autos. There are a few random current and ex veterans I would love to pickup an auto of.
