You know what I hate about Panini?

Dredging up an old thread here, but seriously Panini, when youve got active starting 5 players, and you STILL cant come up with differing photos? C'mon man!

Haha c'mon Panini you've got so many products this year that you have Elite and Elite Series?! Seriously, you can't come up with other names for your products?
 
Both Panini and Upper Deck have come up with amazing concepts in their designs over the years which is what I love the most about the hobby.

It is sad that in recent years that the same picture is used over and over but that is great for me ! It just means that I will save a bit of money in the long run .... Having just one version of a card is fine by me :) rather than having multiple copies ;)

PS, Maybe there are just too many people in the top jobs that expect huge pay packets that ultimately suck the value out of some products.
 
Panini is a s***ty company..
I think that is a pretty unfair statement, and without any justifiction by you.
I'm not defending them either, I think there is still plenty of room for improvement but many of the issues are the exact same that Upper Deck had as well.


Just off the top of my head -
using the same pics - this has been a thread here before panini
redemptions - problem before panini, if anything I think Panini is handling them better than upperdeck
sticker autos - always a problem, logistically easier for the companies

As for naming everything the same, from a comment that was made by Panini n their blog, I think they are trying to set up a history and an association for the collectors, they are trying to use some of the product names from other sports as well that are known well and held in high esteem in those fields.

With regards to the comment in bold and not to single out Panini in particular but waiting for a John Wall redemption auto from 10/11 black box elite that had been redeemed in November 2011 is far from an improvement in my opinion. Especially when Wall was out injured for an extended period last year and still no sign of it :(

There are a few cards from 10-11 Elite that have not yet been redeemed. It isn't just a case of needing a signature. Sometimes it is production errors, or damage that cause them to have to replace the cards themselves. Either way, just send them an email.

Upper Deck is far worse than Panini redemptions! I have no doubt about that!
 
Hahahaha! You couldn't pick a worse time mate! I sent Panini an email on Friday about some of mine and they already have a FedEx delivery on its way! Including 2 Kyrie autos and the sickest Kawhi RC!!

Oh rite, so you had to send them an email to remind them to send your cards? Hmmmmmm..........lol mate I can't talk. If I get my Durant Auto redemption I pulled from 09/10 SPGU when I go to the nationals in August I'll have some debate material then we can go round 2 lol
 
my three auto hits from a TC box earlier this year, all with considerable damage to the top right corner. 3 months of ongoing emails and still no resolution. was told to send detailed scans 3 weeks ago and wait for a response to destroy the cards once they confirm replacements, scans were sent straight away and haven't heard from them since. they are not cards of high value by any means but it is the principle of getting what you paid for. so can't really say i've experienced the great service they are often praised for.
