Official 2012-13 NBA Regular Season Thread. SPOILERS

We are 8-4 against SAS, OKC, LAC & MEM all season and none of them have beaten us in Denver this season.
Denver is definitely a tough place to win on the road..I just think San Antonio are ready to make a good run to the Finals, they've got a system that is clearly working and everyone is really tuned in and I think their playoffs experience will be the x-factor. Thunder I think, are also going to capitalise on last year's defeat to the Heat and be hungry going into the playoffs..Denver will definitely be making some noise this year, and who knows they may get into the WCF if the ball bounces their way anything can happen!

Only seen the play by play.... but it looks like AK47 came up HUGE for the Wolves!!!!!!

Shows a clutch block, taking a foul after a clutch offensive rebound, making 2 clutch free throws, then ANOTHER clutch block!!

Great work!!!!!

Quadruple Doubles:

Only 4 people in NBA history have recorded a QD...

David Robinson
Hakeem Olajuwon
Alvin Robertson
Nate Thurmond

while trying to be unbiased, D Rob's was the most impressive with 34 points on the night, it was also the last ever QD.

My question is, how close have other got to it, without quite getting there? This has come up because of the stat line of Spencer Hawes the other day... yes... Spencer Hawes.

18points, 16 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 blocks.

Damn that is a good effort!

Are there any other CLOSE calls?
It seems that only the big men have got a chance, seeing as you really need Blocks to be one of them.

From the notes, apparently Bird sat out the entire 4th quarter of his game saying he "had done enough damage"

Nice work!

I knew about the Hakeem one, because on review, it shows that he should have been awarded some stats that weren't, so 'officially' it wasn't a QD, but on review it should have been.

The Larry Bird one is NUTS!!!

There should be a disclaimer though, the one by Michael Ray Richardson shouldn't count as it obviously went into OT! I think ANY stats or records that involve OT should have to have an asterix! lol

The Ray Richardson game went to 3 overtimes, I just deleted it from the end of the table  Also the first QD (Thurmond) was an overtime game

Here is the full article on Wikipedia for anyone interested http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_(basketball)

When I first read it, I was very much surprised that there had been a Quadruple Double in an NBL game

I thought this was cool..

"A quintuple-double is the accumulation of a double-digit number total in all five categories in a game. Two quintuple-doubles have been recorded by high school girls, but none have occurred in college or professional games. A similar accomplishment is the five-by-five, which is the accumulation of at least five points, five rebounds, five assists, five steals, and five blocks in a game. In the NBA, only Hakeem Olajuwon and Andrei Kirilenko have accumulated multiple five-by-fives since the 1985–86 season."
