The celtics take on the heats winning streak...paul pierce is a douche...

The game today against the bucks has a lot of coincidence going into this streak.

Firstly, the Heat is tied with the bucks for 3rd longest at 20.

Secondly, if you don't know yet, the Bucks ended the 33 game winning streak by the Lakers in 1972. Not that I see the heat would get close to that.

If we win today, and say against the Raptors on Monday that will get the streak to 22.

Then we play Celtics, for the 23rd straight and coincidentally it's this same Celtics (minus Ray Allen) that snapped the 22 winning streak of the Rockets for the 2nd longest streak... :)

But as we all know this streak is just a winning streak which doesn't amount to anything if we don't win the championship this year.

Go Heat!!!

You're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view. Paul Pierce's point of view, surrounded by championship banners, makes the Heat's streak seem insignificant.

so 21 games in a row is a crap effort? miami are gelling nicely at present...and to cs credit they are playing well without rondo...which maybe reinforces he is a little over rated?

The Celtics have their time.

It's now Miami Heat Time!!!

I like Pierce as a basketball player. All the comments made by the Celtics are ok except for Jason Terry's. I don't like him at all!

21 games is amazing. He's not exactly gonna say "we'll sheeeeet, this is the nightmare coming true, the Heat are killin it boi"

personally i hate pierce also, he is one of the biggest self praising athletes around, like when he won the 3 point shoot out and proclaimed himself the best shooter to ever play in the nba, i really wouldn't expect anything less from him

Dwyane Wade for MVP

As good as this winning streak is, I think it just highlights how the NBA has changed over the last few years (A bit like quite a few economies around the world). While the Rich get Richer (Good teams win more games) the poor get poorer (Weaker teams Lose more games) so while this continues to happen I can't rate this streak too highly.

Does anyone know why they ONLY include regular season games in these streaks? The Spurs went 20 straight games last season, including a sweep of Utah in round 1 and a sweep of the Clippers in round 2, but don't get a mention on the all time streaks!

I think if playoff games were included there would be some better streaks from the Bulls for example!

edit - I am not taking away from the Heat! They have been unreal to get this far! While I don't want them to take the Lakers record, I wouldn't mind something close to it! lol
