Official 2012-13 NBA Regular Season Thread. SPOILERS

can someone explain to me how Pop gets fined for rest Parker and Timmy earlier in the season but no Timmy, Parker or Khawi today and nothing said? Parker has missed a couple with injury but Khiwi and Timmy? Didnt Khawi kill it in their last game?

Parker is out with an ankle injury for 3-4 weeks.

The only reason why they got fined last time is because they were playing against the reigning champs in the ONLY game they have in Miami for the season.. AND the biggest reason, it was a televised Game!

And YES, Kawhi killed it in the last game, against OKC. He has been awesome for a few weeks now!

to me the NBA need to pull their heads out of their asses. Against Miami or Bobcats shouldnt matter, fine them once fine them again or let it go both times. Typical NBA playing daddy with anything and everything. I have no problem with teams resting plays so i didnt agree with it the first time but u do it once NBA u must continue to do it.

As a T Wolves fan this gives me hope for the Future, our Bench and one Starter.... better than the crap the Spurs put out there BY CHOICE... at least Wolves play hard every night, even when they only have 8 or 9 suiting up. Can't wait to aee how we go when we have a full team soon :D

PS Chris Johnson has hops

PPS It was nice to see the real Shved shooting with confidence

PPPS... RUBIO IS THE REAL FREAKIN DEAL!!! Made Patty Mills look truly second rate at one point... see below

Triple double for my man RIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicky!

"Made Patty Mills look truly second rate at one point".

That's a bit rich, nice move but good PG's do that EVERY game, no need to flame our Patty Mills. Are you an Aussie or a Spaniard?

"better than the crap the Spurs put out there BY CHOICE" Might be time for you to take a seat and relax. Not so sure you can say the Wolves play hard every night and the Spurs don't. The Wolves are likely to get pasted next game full squad or not.

I really like the Wolves and totally agree that if they can get close to 100% healthy they'll be very tough.

But will K. Love stay for much longer?

The Wolves don't rest uninjured players. You are the one taking it a bit personal ;) I'm not a Spaniard... But Rubio is probably 3 classes above Mills as a PG... Rubio is a class or two above most PGs in the NBA... and as for Love, do not care if he stays, a functional PF and a functional shooter or two (shooting is what has let us down) and we can win lot of games with Rubio.

Talk more trash about a team missing their top four lplayers why don't you - of course the wolves will get paste dnext game, finished wiping the floor with the Spurs team who disrespected us by resting players, and straight on a plane to Indiana... so yes Wolves will be pasted, but they are not disespecting teams by resting players who are fit.

Oh and I would like to see San Antonio play an entire season without their top 5 starting line up on the court at once, and even be down to 7 fit players at one stage... and do better than the wolves have done. The Wolves have scrapped their way through a season with an average of 9 players active.

Why wouldn't I take it personal? You're bagging out a fellow Aussie as "2nd rate".

You're also bagging out the team I support.

You follow a team that hasn't made the playoffs in how many years?

Please, let's hear more excuses.

No doubt Rubio is a gun, but if he was "a class or two above most pg's in the NBA" then they would be winning more games.

Sure get excited he got a trip/dub, but come back to earth. There's been quite a few already this year and it doesn't mean all of a sudden David West, Hibbert, Sanders and Jordan Crawford are now "a class or two above" others at their position.

I'm pretty sure Duncan was rested because of his knees, he's getting on a bit now, that shouldn't be an issue.

Kawhi apparently the same reason. Who cares really, your team would have gotten d*cked if they went on the trip:thumbsup:

Good luck in the lottery bud.

And proof that supporters of teams that are used to success are soft skinned and cannot take a little bit of excitement... and have you watched rubio highlights? He is a class above... if we had SHOOTERS who could hit side of barn... because they weren't over worked being down to 9 men... he would be averaging a lot of assists per game...

take off your san antonio glasses... he is a GUN.... a pure point guard is only as good as the guys around him when it comes to assists and yet he still has been finding guys looks for close to 10 assists a game since he has been fully healthy this season.... neve rnid hid recent streak of 42 steals int h eten game period prior to the last couple games.

No I wasn't bagging out Mills as second rate so much as he was made to look poor by Rubio and I quote myself "Made Patty Mills look truly second rate at one point"... that doesn't mean Mills is second rate, he is in the NBA, he is not second rate... grow an understanding of the language. Rubio however is streets better. Simple as that, and all I was doing was enjoying an awesome moment and being happy.... you came in and made it personal.

Get over yourself and your team that purely disrespected Minnesota as not worthy of lining up their full team. If Kawahi needs resting of his knees at his young age thats not a good sign. Spurs rested against Miami as the wrote that game off, fair enough, but to not put in your full line up against a team down on starters, disrespects the paying fans of the NBA.

Your attitude, makes me wonder if you will be a fan of the spurs if they have the misfortune of being poorly run and stuck in the doldrums and out of the playoffs for a long period of time... It takes true loyalty to support a team that sucks nine times out of ten. Try that then get back to me. It is easy to throw around insults when your team wins 50 games a year for nigh on forever....

Edited to add: Oh and if my team lost to Spurs, I wouldn't be insulting you if you revelled in it. If my team won 50 games a year and won championships and all that, I wouldnt be taking it personal if someone got excited because their star player was having a coming of age, or their team beat mine. Sometimes being humble in losing, looks better.

Kawhi has been playing with an upper knee/quad injury, so he does need to rest. Timmy is 36 and was a bee's willy away from an ACL injury a few weeks ago.

Just sayin!

An informative non defensive soundign post, thanks for sharing... but they will be playing the next game yes? I think you can see my point too (I do see yours as well), can't say I prefer a loss, but if we are to lose to a team at full strength I am not going to cry over it lol We beat you guys twice last year with an overall worse team, so I am pretty happy in general LOL

Wouldn't say Rubio is a class above most NBA point guard's guys like D Rose, C Paul and co eat him for breakfast.

He is a good player but one game doesnt make other players look second rate. When he wins MVP, All NBA 1st team or leads the league in asts then something to back his talent up.

At TWolves he will never win a RING.

Nope cause the Lottery is rigged so teams the NBA screw over by allowing big names to walk away or be traded always get the number 1 pick.... never the team who has generally sucked forever... lol

Yeah true If I was a baller I'd want to get traded if I ended up in Minnesota too :)

I truly believe Rubio changes that, his passing and court vision could take Minnesota back to the playoffs.... IF the front office actually add some wing talent to the team. I think with or without Kevin Love, this team could do really well with a healthy Rubio, some wings who can shoot consistently and a competent front court.

It's the weather!!! Guys don't want to play where you have to get to the stadium through balls deep snow!!! Makes it that much harder to warm up for games!!!

Ha ha ha, firstly, I stated HE (Rubio) WAS A GUN!!! Maybe you need to "grow an understanding of the language".

Without Love, Wolves are garbage, as we've seen all year. I think it's incredible that you would say that Rubio is more important than Love, wow.

Sure I watch highlights of Rubio, but the guy also misses lay ups. This kind of "excitement" as you say is up there with the John Wall talk a couple years back. He also still plays on a losing team and has some nice highlights aswell.

What full line up did they not put out? An injured Duncan and Parker, you can only argue Kawhi and that's it.

My attitude??? Ha ha, wow. When I was 10 I didn't know squat about basketball, for some reason I was drawn to D. Rob and the Spurs in a League with great centres, everyone else was high on Shaq, Ewing, Zo, etc. I'm sorry that they have turned out to be a great team over those years. Yes i will continue to support them even though they don't get as many "highlights" as the Wolves. Even when they start to lose as many games as the Wolves. That's really no issue. I'm a huge fan of alot of teams and players. Spurs will always be no.1, but there's plenty of teams doing great things. I have League pass for that very reason, to watch other teams:)

Ha ha, man you threw it all in the Spurs face and when someone bites you come down even harder. Grow up.

Might need to look at your own attitude.

I guess it's also ALOT easier to be humble at losing when you've done it forever.

A the end of the day, you're not from Minesota (I don't think) and I'm not from San Antonio, I haven't for one second even been annoyed at your carry on or over the top rant, just thought I was allowed a reply, this is a forum right? Chill out dude.

Go Patty!!!!

Another nice game with 8 pts and 6 assists (Imagine if he had Duncan and Kawhi to pass to he could of had 20 assists) :)
