The Official MIAMI HEAT Thread!

Spo to coach the east!

Heat 100 - Raptors 85

With the Heat winning today, It earned Spo the opportunity to coach the Eastern allstars... He could have Bosh as a starter also in placed of the injured Rondo. I think the coach will choose who to replace an injured starter.

LeBron James..holy crap, he's been playing on a level never seen before. Took a hard foul by Deandre Jordan, who then proceeds to throw down on the next play.. What does LeBron do? Make a 3 pointer while getting fouled on the next trip down for a 4 point play, then follow that up with another 3 pointer. Finishes 9-11 fg and following up his 13-14 fg performance couple of games ago. The man is ridiculous.

The streak continues at 6, 11-15 from the field...maybe he's figured out that, "if I dunk/layup/post up throughout the game, no one can stop me??" This guy man...you watch him attack the basket, and he's always in control, he hardly ever commits an offensive foul by running into defenders, even when he does it's a 50-50 call, he's just methodical and smooth. He's never out of control and wild like Westbrook or Wall. Bosh with a super efficient 13-16 from the filed for 32 points as well.

Going to be a tough one to call MVP right now between Lebron and Durant. Towards the end, it's going to boil down to team records and standing and it may be about a 5 game win difference between the two teams so who get's it?

If the MVP was for the best player in the league it'd be Lebron's. Dude is ridiculous, I mean I have never seen a player so dominant on both ends of the court. No doubt in my mind he is the greatest SF of all time and he has many years left in him.

Don't forget Wade's last couple of games has been up there too. He is getting his spring back which is scary.

At 28, Lebron is already ranked 37th on the all time scoring list with 20,371 points. If he scores a total of 2,000 points this season, which he will, he would be 31st on the all time list by the end of the season. Assume that Lebron has another 7 years in the tank, and taking a conservative figure of an average of 1750 total points a game, that would give him about 33,300 points putting him about 3rd all time (depending on what Kobe does in the next couple of seasons). That's conservative. He's averaging 2037 points a season in his first 10 seasons. Extrapolate his assists per game, and he's going to end up around 9th all time on the total assists list. Impressive.

Lebron for me is the best player of all time. Wonder how good Jordan would have been and how many rings he wold have won if he had the coaches Lebron has had.

The scary thing with lebron is that he seems to have just kicked out of first gear. I think he can turn it up a bit more.

Incredible what he's doing.

This is why I HATED to see him leave Cleveland (I think he could've stayed there and won). Who in the East can stop him now? Nobody, even without Wade.

Is it time for a Lebron showoff thread yet? :p

AND.......It seems like ALOT of people are getting over him leaving the Cavs (I still wish he was there). Ha ha.

A game I'm waiting to see how the Heat will do. And yes, they did very well... I feel the the heat is now on a higher gear.

Heat 110 - Thunder 100

A thunder fan provoked Lebron to shoot a 3, Big Mistake. :)

In the first half as James pulled up for a 3-pointer, a fan nearby yelled at him.

"He said, 'Shoot it, you can't shoot.' I said, 'OK' and then I shot it," James said. "I made it.
Then I made another one, then I made another one, then I made another one. Then he stopped talking to me."
In a span of 1:46 of game time, James scored 10 points. The Heat led by 17 at the half.

I like how he responded to MJ saying he would pick Kobe over LeBron citing "5 rings is better than one". LeBron points out Jud Buchler has more rings than Reggie, or Ewing or Barkley and Bill Russell has got 11 rings compared to MJ but he wouldn't take Bill over MJ. Huge props to him for responding in a well thought out manner, while showing respect and poise.

Oh and good call from coach Spo putting Bosh in the starting line up for All Star weekend. This guy could be a franchise player right NOW but he's taken a back seat to scoring for the sake of team success. Coach understands how important it is to give recognition to Bosh for his sacrifice and unheralded play.
