Has anyone else noticed the changes in COMC lately?

I'm not talking about the web design or the name change, but the prices???

I have seen a lot of people lately, mainly on Blowout, complaining about selling cards om the forum and on eBay, and that they will be using COMC from now on.

Recently, I have noticed that base cards and high numbered parallels are priced at almost the highest possible eBay price. I mean, Kawhi Leonard base card for $5.50??

I think people are starting to list at eBay prices, while not paying as high fees, so I can't help but think that as more people use it, they will start to increase their fees and we will be back at where we are now with eBay???

Anyway, maybe it is just me being tight? But I used to use it to help smash out set chases, like Gold Standard and get scrub base for 30c - 50c each, now there are very few under $1

Yep I'm seeing that too, sportslots is currently the best for buying cheaper low end cards, but there biggest downfall obviously is lack of international shipping

Alot of sellers list for very close to or even above BV, i thinks its because of all the 50% offers they get.
No matter how cheap the cards are listed, alot of buyers are still going to try their luck with 50% offers, and sellers are getting tired of it.
If the card is a little higher then you are willing to pay, make a reasonable offer and most of the time it will be accepted.
I've made over 200 offers and only about 30-40 have been counter-offered/rejected.
Also, when there is only 1 seller of a particular card then normally it will be listed at a higher price.

Also, you say cards are listed at ebay price, have you factored in the massive postage savings? I just bought 33 cards from about 25 different sellers and it cost me $17.99 postage using priority mail. That would of cost over $100 on ebay.

In short lol, make reasonable offers and they will be accepted and consider the savings on postage when buying from multiple sellers.

Happy reading! Haha

Do you mean COMC? I was asking about SportLots

Sportslots only ship to US address (or Canada). Ive emailed them about this they said they dont have plans to change this.
So I use them a lot, and ship to my borderlinx address. It still works out the cheapest way to buy large lots of base. You do
get charged separate shipping from each buyer that you buy off, as opposed to COMC where the shipping is centrally charged.

The problem is that you can only make an offer if you have credo in your COMC account. In not going to load the account unless I know I can buy the card! Unless that has changed now?

I doubt that's changed, as the idea is if the seller agrees the transaction is made immediately. I guess to eliminate time wasters.

The prices have gone up but low offers are still accepted. It's a great site for being able to buy a bunch and only paying one lot of shipping which saves a bunch.

Sellers can set automatic declines on any % below full price they want. I made a offer the other day on a card that wouldn't except anything below 5% off.

No this hasn't changed either, I think that is one thing they need to change.
Although as long as you haven't used your money with in 30 days you can get it back, so I guess that is one good thing.
