Hi guys,

It has rained 425mm here (17 inches in old scale) in the last 36 hours...it's just crazy. Wind gusts upto 90km/h as well.

Anyone else affected my all this rain? Any flooding affecting you?

Yeah startin to pour in Brissy but I don't think it's expected to do any damage down this way other than annoy everyone on Aussie day. Ha ha.

Good luck up there, I hear it's pretty rugged.
 
Thats insane.....they are saying up to 100mm in Sydney from about Sunday through Tuesday. We need it though! Hope everybody is safe!
 
Been lucky here in Airlie, the rains been stop and start for 3 days, enough stopping to drain the water away. When it does rain, F&*k me it comes down!!
Towns above us have copped it and towns below us have copped it.
Hope everyone is OK.
 
wow, what a morning!

SES has us on high alert for evacuation. Came to my door at 6 am this morning. I live near a river about 1 km from it's mouth and at the top/start of this river is a HUGE dam. The dam now has 4 mtrs of water going over it's wall and there are 2 very high tides today :(.

Spend my morning packing and getting ready to escape!! :D Just need to wait now and see what happens.

Oh, BTW, it still hasn't stopped raining, 625 mm since Wednesday night and going strong even now.

The boxes of cards for the big bust are safe!!

Anyone around Gladstone or Tannum Sands/Boyne Island don't be silly and stay safe :cool:

Yeah the rain seems to be hanging around Gladstone and the predicted deluge in Brisbane hasn't really eventuated yet. Im on the northside of Brisbane near the coast and apart from being a bit windy and a few showers there's not much happening.

Haha, I hope there are no crocodiles visiting!! My wife will have him carved into a bag and shoes in no time...he will have to be very brave to come near my place :cool:

It just won't leave. I hope it doesn't hang around the Brissy catchment area for too long, just enough to top things up. Hopefully it will be ok for the sunny coast as well. My in-laws are in glasshouse and they were saying the same.

As for the damn lawn mowing...man, it's gunna be bad!
 
Hope you Bundy/Bargara guys are all ok. Been another big day of rain and big tides :(. A couple of tornados as well.

Update here. Now at 750mm of rain in 3 days, bucketing down here at the moment. The dam is now 7.25mtrs over the wall :eek: which flows into the river that goes through town.

Not much sleep tonight I think..watching water levels.

its crazy here atm..
a friend is surfers atm and sent me a pic n video of what its like up there, doesnt look good. tornado is still expect to hit the north coast and make its way down
 
yeah it hit the goldy today, lucky for us it hasnt been much else then rain and strong winds, on the news they had pictures of awnings being ripped off of high rises in surfers so i wouldnt want to be anywhere near there
