Sonics on the way back?

i do agree fans are anything but loyal anymore, people used to call themselves cavs fans, then lebron left and they all of a sudden become lebron fans, the common nba fan follows players and not teams

I disagree with this. That may be the case in Australia, but I've been to Denver, Chicago, Portland, LA, Phoenix and in these cities they are VERY loyal to their teams. But all of those teams are in winning situations, Sacramento, I'm sure, would be a different story.

Do you remember this

I'll guess the MINORITY of Nuggets fans changed to Melo fans when he left.

yeah i saw the jersey burning and i still believe a lot of fans follow players instead of teams, a lot even admit it! I am aware that a lot of people are loyal to teams but i think the nba is becoming a lot of player fan bases instead of team fan bases

For majority of NBA fans internationally that is probably the case. I bet a tonne of fans moved from Cleveland to Miami, or New Orleans to Los Angeles, or Orlando to Los Angeles. Hell I know HEAPS shifted from Philly to Denver when AI moved. But in America they are very loyal to their teams because that's where they're from. Just like we are here with AFL or NRL how often are people not a fan of an AFL team but just like one player? For example, I go for St. Kilda, players come and go but I'll always support St. Kilda. And I'll bet you go for a QLD based team?

^biggest douche bag fans in sports right there
100% Agree.

OKC have never embraced the Sonics history as their own, so I doubt they would have a problem with Seattle taking the name and history back.

Any guesses who is the head of the NBA's relocation committee is???

The Thunder's owner.

It's great to see Seattle coming back, but at the expense of the kings franchise? That's a bit sad. I dont want to lose sacramento. Maybe I'm old school but I wish things like this would just stay the way they were back in the day. Having said that though, I would live the idea of clippers moving out of LA and maybe back to San Diego or simillar, I feel like the way there headed, they need there own city.
