hi all

need to vent, recently i sold some pmg greens on international ebay, one buyer bought three--shaq, mcgee and monta ellis, the transaction was 1380 DEL us dollars, anyway, all good he paid straight away...but paypal want to hold my money for 21 days...it doesnt matter that i have a feedback score of nealry 700 and 100% and am a power seller/top rared seller...plus back in october i did an 800 dollar us sale to germany without a hiccup...so i have been in touch with them, they said once the buyer recieves the item/tracking comes up as received i will get the money in three days...now to another transaction, sold rip hamilton pmg green for 317 DEL, and paypal are holding these funds also!!!!! it doesnt matter that the guy took 9 days to pay and i didnt hear anything from him until i opened a dispute ...thats beside the point...im the bad guy and untrustworthy seller...i have three other pmgs selling at the moment on international ebay, i have asked paypal if they will be holding these as well, havent heard back yet, but if they do im cancelling the auctions, as this is nothing but shady...the buyer gets their stuff while i sit around waiting for my money....paypal you have done it again!!!!

hi mate this has happend to me also . i sold a prizm gold for over 200 bucks and its been 16 days and still wont give me my money. i need the money and still i have to wait till he leaves feedback this is sooooooooooooo crap , and not to mention its stressing me out

It's waaaaay better to sell here but harder to get high end sold I really hesitate now when thinking about selling on ebay. Hope you get your $ soon mate

Honestly for high end sales these days, I use ebay as a tool to sound out offers and then deal privately with people off ebay. I'll even give some discount to buyers as im not losing on fees etc.

Get the cash straight away and haven't had any hassles at all! Only pay a small amount for the listing fee.

yeah there are a few people saying this, absolutely stupid, the fact they are doing this benefits no one at all except makes it easier for paypal to solve disputes

I usually get the 21 day holding as well. I just use it as a way to set aside funds for future purchases! haha

But recently I had around 15-20 items sell and the first 4 payments went into pending, but every payment since then has been available immediately!?!??

As if I hit some sort of quota or something!?!?

yeah i think i read somewhere that if you sell a certain amount they realease the funds automatically

Yeah i get the ol' 21 day thing as well when i sell. Started last year. They withold some but not others and seems to be no logical reasons which ones they choose.

i would avoid ebay like the plague if i could, but no offense to this site, nobody really wants to pay for high end cards on here, i would like matt said deal off for less, but im not selling a pmg green that potentially sells for three hundred plus for a quick hundred or less....
thought blowout might be favourable..probably the biggest bunch of inbreed, neurologically impetent, spasiticated individuals i have ever dealt with...hence the reason why i look on there about once a month purely for entertainment value, to see which mummies boy has been allowed to stay up late and talk to the other babies and try and get something half intelligent out...just kiddin...lol....

When Linsanity struck and I ca$hed in (and boy was it needed!), by the time the 4th card sold for just under 2k, the bludgers at paypal still wouldn't deem the first 3 sales, which totalled almost 9k, sufficient enough to release the money immediately. All sales went without a hiccup, postage was free, registered and insured for large amounts.

They are that big that they just don't need to care. I guess that's what it must feel like to have a monopoly on something.

So i got jagged by the 21 day rule also.

The guy that bought my item has just got it and left positive feedback so am i right to assume that ScamPal will release my funds pretty soon??

Can anyone confirm?

touch-wood. ive never had this problem before. ive sold large $ amounts and large quanity amounts on ebay so im not sure if thats got anything to do with it. i got a power-seller status also so i dont know if that makes a difference

i had a big shit fight with paypal on wednesday night...their basic ruling is, you post the item asap, mark it as shipped with the tracking number and once it has been delivery confirmed at the other end they will release the money to you within three days...otherwise its tough shit and you wait 21 DAYS or do the above or alert paypal that you have received positive feedback for the transaction...
anyway i think i may have had a small victory, the person at the other end of paypal seems to think that with my feedback/power seller/top rated seller status that i shouldnt have funds held...so they are reveiwing my account and apparently within 72 hours i will have this lifted and all money available and no future holds...fingers crossed this happens!!!!

see this is whats weird. i have free un-restricted access to funds straight away. i sold a card last night on ebay, and withdrew the moeny straight away to my bank.

i didnt have to go thru all the BS. hopefully you get your restriction lifted man.

have you done many international transactions though? because that may count toward them giving you the ok....
