I'm not sure if they would get anything they really need for Gasol. He's now over 30, 2 bad knees and a $38+ mill contract sitting there. Couldnt agree more with DAntoni tho, good coach but just doesnt suit the roster. I think Dwight needs more shots. Kobe plays alot better when others are scoring cos then he aint worried about passing the ball off. I hate it when he takes a million shots a game but when the rest of the team arent scoring he just takes over and really if it wasnt for Kobes doing that we would have been blown out in alot more game.
It's the Lakers so of course we will get something we need because we always find a stupid team that will accept a trade.. All we did was go from 1 bad coach to another and we should've just given Phil anything he wanted to get him back.. I think he is the only coach that can control Kobe and get him to shoot less but you're right he hasn't had much choice so far as the rest of the team has done very little and without Kobe our record would be much worse.
i actually wouldnt mind moving Gasol and getting someone like Beasley, he can play a bit further out than Gasol and give Dwight as much room as he needs. Either that or try and get a good young big, only problem is if we dont get back on track quickly Dwight will walk and then we're screwed for the next couple of years.

The issue is the team is too old and the NBA these days is fast paced.
Two teams that want Gasol are the Raptors and Wolves
They need to trade him and get younger.
Also here is two free agent players the lakers could sign for basically nothing who could help

Exactly, get rid of Kobe and bring is some young fast players that combined can score 30-40 points a game? Then the coach and team won't have problems dealing with Kobe's ego (and tunrovers) and they would be WAY more adaptable to the game being played these days?
Lakers have many problems. One big problems is Dwight Howard, he is an overrated immature kid who doesn't score enough. If he wants to be a great center he needs to consistently put up 25ppg+. Also anyone who thinks Nash is the solution to all their problems is wrong, he will bring the team together a bit more but one big problem for the Lakers is their defense and Nash is certainly not the best defender...
Noway the Lakers would or should trade Kobe.. Nothing out there that would be worth the trade for us..
Nash 100% is not going to fix anything on D but will help us score more easily and means taking the ball out of Kobes hands so he doesn't have to force it as much..
We should try trade Gasol for Bargnani or Ryan Anderson so that Dwight has the paint to himself.

All that means is that Lakers have to feed them a little more bs and the trade would be done..
