*SPOILERS* Official NBL 2012/13 Season Thread

I know that Brad Robbins had his haters, as all good villians do, but every team needs a player like Robbins on their team, and every great team does have that guy who can get under the opponents skin, but still contribute positively to the game whilst helping his team win.
I applaud his self-less decision to retire instead of hurt his team while he struggles with recurring injuries.
Hoping that his decision inspires his team mates to dig even deeper and take the Cats to a 6th chip.

agree with u Richard mate! Thanks Brad ur welcome anytime back mate.

27 is very young to retire considering he calls himself a hard nut. Was a very good defensive player sometimes too cheap but still good.

Perth has a deep roster though so should be able to dig deep. Couldn't believe he only ave 4.7ppg during his career

Too many injuries and his desire to keep pushing has gone. Fair enough considering he is a single father with a young son too.

The fact he played with a torn calf and a cracked rib in the 2010 Grand Final series showed how much he always put his body on the line for the team.

The type of player everyone hates but would love to have on their team.

The benches have been named for the All Star game. A few "interesting" choices...

North: Gary Ervin, Corin Henry, Lance Hurdle, Clint Steindl, Ian Crosswhite

South: Jonny Flynn, Adam Gibson, Chris Goulding, Anthony Petrie, Shawn Redhage

Not sure about Steindl and Crosswhite for North, or Goulding for the South. Maybe the league is trying to make sure all teams are represented?

bit of a joke in my eyes :( what about Crawford or Vukona or Wilson?

I think I'm done..... Losing to Townsville at home is the last straw for me...... This season can fk right off!!!! And poor Mitch Creek, gets his minutes and ruptures his Achilles!!!!! Arghhhhhhh!! Sucks to be an adelaide sports at the moment!!!!!

Townsville started the season 0-10 and have now beaten Adelaide twice in 2 weeks. Ouch!

Sad news about Creek too. Was starting to play really well and would have won the dunk comp.

Believe the reserve is Pero Vasilevic from Adelaide to take Creeks place :) I get to watch from the bench and hang out with the South or North team before during and after the game.
