Australia's fielding has been less than impressive, two sitters dropped so far by Cowan and Lyon (Although Lyon did pull off a Glen McGrath like outfield diving catch previously)
No, but you will note that supporters actually post consistently during a series regardless of whether the team are doing well or not....they don't just "pop in" intermittently and then bugger off again when the success comes.
I've consistently been both criticising and giving praise where it's due
Nice to see Mitchell Johnson doing ok though...3 for 90 off 20 odd overs at just over 4.5 an over isn't bad considering how the rest of the bowlers are doing. And his last over was a bad one that went for 13 so not considering that he's been doing well.
I like the Aussies chances of winning this one. 0/40. Two batsmen off the mark. A dead flat pitch that has already had 570-odd on it and will only get better. Two days. 180 overs. A good chance for a huge world record run chase.
Yeah i reckon they have to stick with Johnson and Starc for the next series...Pattinson and Cummins will still be out and i guess Siddle will come back in.
Very very classy from South Africa when Ricky Ponting came to the wicket today, it was about the only highlight we can claim today hahaha. What a strange Test match and series it has been, really enjoyable though!
The difference in this series is that South Africa was able to fight when they had their backs to the wall such as in the second test when really they should have lost it easily and they were also able to capitalise on their chances when they were in front such as today. Australia weren't able to capitalise on their chances...when you get the opposition out for 225 you can't then score 163, and you can't let the other team bat two days to save a match.
Australia were by no means terrible though...just a few players didn't pull their weight and the team was bad in a few patches which unfortunately cost them the series.
I was disappointed for him today, having worked so hard last night to make it through to stumps. I hope Warner isn't stuffed around like he was in the One Dayers, I think he gets a bit of a bum rap when you compare him to the way Virender Sehwag plays in Tests, who swings at almost everything in the first ten overs of an innings. I like Warner and Cowan as an opening pair, I think that they both should either open or not be selected.
