South Africa made more than they should have...when you are 7 for 250 odd you shouldn't make 388. I know the fact that Kallis was batting down the order made it a little different but still they should of been out for 300 or so. Siddle and Hilfenhaus took some wickets but Lyon made the initial breakthrough and Clarke was the one to make the breakthrough in getting Kallis out.

I stand by my comments that Siddle and Hilfenhaus can't take enough wickets...you need strike bowlers who can take wickets at the start of the innings as well as later on...in both tests they have only started taking wickets on the second day after SA had a decent score building. The fact that the first two wickets of the innings were a run out to Hussey and a wicket to the part time spin of Warner is worrying...

Yeah true, i was a bit tough on him...he seems to need a little more patience though maybe? Especially for test cricket. But i'm sure he will be out of the team when Watson is fit anyway so he's probably missed his chance.

Goodbye Ponting...surely you are gone now or after this series if you fail in the next test. It's sad, when Ponting gets in these days i just expect to see him be out soon. He needs to just retire before he is dropped because he should know that he is past it by now and he is just ruining his legacy.

I hope the selectors stick with Rob Quiney and don't make him a scapegoat, particularly if there is ANY doubt over Shane Watson heading into the Perth Test. I think we will win in Adelaide, hoping for a lead of 330+ and then for Nathan Lyon to do the damage! Go the Aussies!

Well done to the bowlers so far, good to see Hilfenhaus get an early wicket and Siddle get one. We need it more often guys! Lyon is bowling well and doing a good job which is what we really needed from him this innings.
