Why is this place dead?

I know I am posting only in the Basketball section, but this is the part I frequent the most and therefore the part that I have noticed, but it seems to me:

• There is very few sellers/traders actively listing stuff these days. I thought it was all quiet due to the lack of new products being released, but it doesn't seem to be picking up
• The general discussion section - It used to have 2-3 new threads every day MINIMUM, now, we can go several days without even having a comment in the Reg Season thread
• Less members around and spending less time on here

There seems to be a of people logging on if you look at the stats, but maybe there are a lot of people in the other sections and fewer in the Basketball??

I personally try, when I can, to run a comp or two to try and gather interest on the site, because the more people are interested, the more activity there will be all around the site, but my question to you is.....

Is it not as good of a site anymore? If so, why not?

What is missing, what is overdone?

How can we get it back to when we used to have to PM as fast as lightning for a PC card because there were plenty of other people on here that would get there first?

Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems this way!

I agree to a crtain extent. I am on at most times day/night. I have missed a few cards of late because my pm's weren't quick enough, and I think in the last 3 months I have done a lot more deals than I normally do.

You have to take in consideration that the Christmas holidays are creeping up and people have different priorities. I have tonnes to do but I always find time to catch up with mates here and feed my addiction!

Yeah i've noticed it especially in the FS/FT section, but even in the offical season thread. Some good games been going on, lots of injuries and still very quiet. I've been on a bit less mainly well cos its been so damn quiet.

Really have no idea why everyone else has been on less or posting less but from my experience on this site it does run there patches like this from time to time. Some people have less time and money around this time of year. Holidays, nice weather to get outside etc.

It will come good, its the best card site on the net hands down. Great people around and run pretty damn well.

I am on here as much as I possibly can be with school stuff (homework etc.), sports (basketball footy) and I have been a member here for about 8 - 9 months, and I feel it has died down a bit since I first joined. I agree that there are less new things and that there is less discussion about topics that aren't necessarily about things other than cards, like how you mentioned there being less chatter in the 2012/13 NBA Regular Season thread about close games, injuries, signing and trades etc. I hope this can get back on the up and not continue to slowly fall.

I agree this is the best card site, not just in Australia but in the world! It is also the best community on the internet aswell with mostly everybody being friendly to each other and there are issues only on rare occasions

adam maybe start creating new threads? lol i have created a couple of thrreads in past week and some have had replies, others havnt even had more than 2 views let alone a comment. i guess everyone isnt reading what members have to say and rather just come on here, wait for a huge pc sale and hope to score some cards? i know i visit atleast 5 times a day and get excited when i have a inbox or alert coz i know its gonna be good xD
